（前略）大学に入学することは、ほかの商品やサービスを飼うこととは本質的に異なる。そもそも教育を受けている時点で自分にとって何が真に必要かを見抜くのは容易ではない。言い換えれば、①大学で学んだものの真価は、卒業後、ある程度時間が経ってからしか判断できない。②また教育の成果は学生の心構えや努力次第で大きく変わる。

所感

これも問題ありの模範解答に見える。【英作文】最難関大への英作文ハイパートレーニング033でも思ったが、こういう明らかに文の途中から始まっているものも、大文字で書き始めるべきなのか。

大学で学んだものの真価＝教育の成果と等号で結ぶのも、ちと早計に思う。大雑把に見れば両者は同じかもしれないが、細かい部分では別物。文脈から、大学で学んだものの真価とは、自分にとって必要なものを取捨選択できる能力あるいは判断力のことだろう。教育の成果というのは、その判断力の正確さや判断基準の豊富さだと考えられる。真価と成果を同一視するのは、個人的には受け入れがたい。

これらを同一のものとみなして、第二文を It で始めるのもどうなのかなあ。 第一文も It で始まっていて、パッと見、この二つは同じ「時」を現す形式主語のように見えてしまう。大学教育の真価は卒業後、しばらくしないと分からない。どれくらいの時間がかかるかは、モチベーションと努力次第・・・のように読めてしまう。うーむ。大学の後期開講直前でネイティブ連中も多忙を極めているから、尋ねるなら来月か・・・
