How to configure a VMware network adapter

In the field of network engineering, you may need to work in a virtual environment. Set up virtual network adapters, virtual machines and virtual servers. Today, virtual machines play a major role in the networking space. When configuring a virtual machine, a virtual network adapter is required.

VMware Workstation has three main types of network connections:

1. Bridge mode
2. NAT mode
3. Host only mode

Bridge mode-VM gets an IP address from a DHCP server on the external network.

NAT Mode-Using the NAT process, VMs share one IP address between two or more VMs.

Host-only mode-VM connects only to the host system. Use this mode to isolate the VM from the external network.
