The Last Of Us

The Last Of Us is a very popular post apocalyptic video game that has been adapted into a drama television show. It takes place where a mutated variant of the fungi spreads across the world infecting humans and turning them into violent spores (zombies). I have only watched episode one of the drama show but it had me thinking a lot about our current understanding in science and the pandemic we're living in. Our knowledge as humans expands on being capable of flying to the moon to building many complex things, for example, artificial intelligence (I will create another article for this). The issue is there are also many things that we don't know and don't understand. We have only discovered 10% of our ocean so there can be millions of lifeforms down in the ocean that we don't even know to this day. We're also still waiting for many things to be answered, why did the big bang take place, what happened before that, and is time travel possible? That's why I think anything could happen just like the series from the last of us. We know there are things like rabies, spores that are capable of controlling their hosts to spread their viruses everywhere, but we don't know the possibilities of how dangerous these viruses are. What if these viruses somehow mutate and will potentially be capable of passing from human to human? Thinking about this causes stress but it's a really interesting topic to think about because the possibilities are endless in this world. I've said this multiple times but that's why everyone should live their days like it's the last day on earth. You don't want to regret not being able to do the things you've always wanted to do. Also, please give the series a chance. It's an amazing adaption!
