How can I establish a routine of writing a daily journal?

I do not remember exactly which book or clip, but I encountered several messages recommending writing a daily journal in the last few weeks. Since these recommendations for writing a daily journal were from different sources at different times, the introduced benefits were also different. One said it is a simple and practical way to recognize what you think objectively and collect your thoughts, possibly leading to feeling less anxious. Others said that it was a good way to improve their English language skills because usually there are not so many opportunities for Japanese English learners to output what they have learned. And yes. That is why I am writing this in English.
Anyway, not mainly because of these general and ambiguous benefits stated above, but I have decided to keep a daily journal. Writing has been always an attractive and personal way to spend time alone, with a sensation of a peaceful and calm mind coming from it. It feels like I am fusing back together all these thoughts that are invisible but definitely exist there, my space or head. It is not until I write it on paper and see it with my own eyes that I finally realize what I truly feel.
Although I wrote that I would keep a "daily" journal, it is predictable that I forget or simply cannot do it every day. Honestly, I do not care. This is for myself. A mere reflection. I will see how this will go.
