まず訪れたいのは、日野観光協会が案内する「近江中山の芋競べ祭り」。毎年9月の第1日曜日に開催されるこの祭りは、重要無形民俗文化財に指定されており、早朝に掘り起こされた芋を競う伝統的な行事です。地元の人々の暖かいコミュニティを感じることができるでしょう。

次に向かったのは、「滋賀農業公園ブルーメの丘」。ドイツ語で「花」という意味のブルーメは、中世ドイツの農村をイメージした花いっぱいの公園で、春には美しいチューリップ畑が広がります。ここでは、夏にはミュージック花火大会が開催され、訪れる人々に感動を与えています。

Hino Town, Shiga Prefecture, a place where the good old Japanese atmosphere remains strong. This place is known as the birthplace of the "Omi Hino merchants" and is a place where rich nature, history, and culture live on. BowGriP Rakuyuu will experience the charm of this place and deliver a report.

The first place we want to visit is the "Omi Nakayama Sweet Potato Competition Festival" guided by the Hino Tourism Association. This festival, held every year on the first Sunday of September, is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property and is a traditional event in which people compete over sweet potatoes dug up early in the morning. You will be able to feel the warm community of the local people.

Next, we headed to "Shiga Agricultural Park Blume Hill." Blume, which means "flower" in German, is a flower-filled park inspired by medieval German farming villages, and in spring, beautiful tulip fields spread out. Here, a musical fireworks display is held in the summer, impressing visitors.

Hino Town is also known for its "Hifuri Festival." This festival, which takes place over two days on August 14th and 15th, features a torch procession, allowing visitors to deeply experience the history and culture of Hino Town.
