【Inside beBit】UX Design - Isono-san

Inside beBit - A project in which we ask 10 questions about a beBit member's work and personal life. We hope that “Inside beBit” will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the individuals you work with.
In this issue, we asked Isono-san from the UX Design team to answer our questions!

1:Why did you join beBit?
I asked an agent about companies where I could work in UX design straight out of college and was introduced to beBit. I majored in interaction design at university and was looking for a job or company related to this field. Out of the companies I found, I was impressed by the fact that beBit specializes in UX while valuing individuals as well, so I decided to join the company.

2:Please tell us about the work you do at beBit
I work on UX Design projects for services and websites based on user research.
Most recently, I have been designing new features for websites and conducting receptivity studies for apps. In the past, I have also provided support for planning, designing, and implementing new features.

3:Tell us one thing you like about beBit
The best part is definitely that the people are very nice.
There are many people who keep a good balance between focusing on results and enjoying their lives to the fullest extent, often pushing themselves beyond their limits.
Also, there are many people with different skills and backgrounds, so it feels like I’m spending time at a zoo everyday haha.

4:Tell us what you value most when working
I work while focusing on providing value in my own way.
I want to make things that are useful to others, so I make sure that I have done everything I can in order to do so. I strive to provide output while asking myself if I am making something that people would want to use.
Also, I’m a strong believer that we cannot deliver a good total experience unless the deliverable is beautiful, so I am very particular about the appearance as well.

5:What do you do during your free time?
I dance and make coffee cocktails along with many other things, but I’ve most recently been into watching anime and comparing it to current times.
Even anime from the same genre and/or series have differences depending on the time period it was made, and it’s fun finding these differences. (It is interesting to compare Blue Lock, Captain Tsubasa, and Aoashi)

6:If you could be reborn, what/who would you want to be?
Saitama (Editor’s note: The protagonist from One-Punch Man)
I long for his physically overwhelming strength. It’d be great if I could defeat projects with one punch as well haha.

7:What’s something about you that hasn’t changed since you were a child?
Once I am hooked on something, I can’t stop.
I end up investing all my time and money on whatever I'm hooked on…
On weekends, I often find myself awake until the sun rises… it’s a problem…

8:What makes you the happiest? Or, tell us about when you were happiest recently
I recently moved, and my room is completed.
I was very particular about the lighting, and through trial and error I figured out which angle and color of lighting I would place in which location.
I truly enjoy the time I spend being picky and creating things.

9:Please tell us about your talent, or anything you are proud of
Dance. While it wasn’t a major role, I have been in a corporate web commercial.
I am also a little proud of the fact that I can make original coffee cocktails as well!

10:Tell us about any challenges you would like to attempt

I hope to conduct research on human interface and create services based on the research.
My current work is limited to two-dimensional interfaces on smartphones, so I would like to enhance my expertise in three-dimensional interfaces such as gestures.
