Dec. 10 Nationwide Action Day for Gaza

Peace on Palestine!
Demand Japanese government call for a complete ceasefire!

Since Oct. 7, Israel's indiscriminate attacks on Gaza have already killed more than 15,000 people (as of Dec. 1), 6,150 of whom are children. The truce lasted just seven days, and 174 people died on Dec. 1st after the fighting resumed. Many UN human rights experts stated that grave violations committed by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza point to a genocide in the making.

However, the Kishida administration abstained from the UN General Assembly resolution (Oct. 27) calling for a humanitarian ceasefire. As in final statement of the G7 Hiroshima Summit, where the Japanese government took the chair vowed to "adhere to and strengthen a free and open international order based on the rule of law," Japan must firmly oppose the Israeli atrocities in Gaza.

We call on Dec. 10th to be designated as a "Nation-wide Action Day" to call on the Japanese government to demand a complete ceasefire from Israel. Dec. 10th is also World Human Rights Day. Protesting the genocide in Gaza, which endangers the universal value of human rights, is also speaking out against other human rights violations such as militarization, racial discrimination, gender-based violence, inequality, immigration issues, refugee issues, etc. Let's take action together everywhere to protect the human rights of the people of Gaza and create a better world free of human rights violations!

Embody Your Voices ~To count your actions~

On this nationwide action day, we will count each and every action you take and hope that the number of actions can go over the number of casualties (15, 523 as of Dec. 4) among Gaza people.

Of course, the brutality of the massacre cannot be reduced to the number of casualties. The purpose of counting actions is to remember the lives lost in Gaza, and to spread our determination to stop massacre. We ask organizations/individuals across the country to join this counting effort. Please refer to the guidelines below for details. We are joined by BDS Japan Bulletin to count the actions.
