ASPaC Workshop in Silpakorn University

We held joint seminar and workshop of Silpakorn University and Rajamangala University of Technology. Both universities are traditional art university. The venue was in a school building at Silpakorn university, which stood in a calm atmosphere and has been renovated over 100 years.

Ms. Suga gave a lecture with the theme of Japanese long running merchandise design. While the design development through the renewal of previous design was still rare in Thailand, her presentation was very new to them, and attracted their full attention.

The presentations by 30 students were rich with artistic free ideas or acute comments and we shared a pleasant time together. Committee member Mr. Fukui and Ms. Suga had brought original packages from Japan and aroused their curiosities. We confirmed again that the starting point of package design was the original.
