自己紹介　(in English)

①Hello, I am Arnya.
I am from Japan, and I teach English to students
from elementary school to high school.

②I have a reason why I like English
despite I live in Japan.

③When I was a child, I was very depressed.
The reason was easy.
I was outstanding in the classroom.

④I had my own opinions and I loved saying them in class.
In Japan, people easily get started to bully
when the targeted person was extraordinary.

⑤My teachers, classmates and friends thought
I was very weird because I was not a typical type of Japanese.
They began to ignore me.

⑥I was desperate for my life
although I was an elementary school student.

⑦But my life did totally change.

⑧When I was 10, I join many activities after school,
but they didn’t last.
They were “just fun”, not “challenging” for me.

⑨But I only enjoyed learning English.
I went to the English conversation school near my house.
The teacher was an American woman.
Her teaching style was totally different from that I knew in Japan.
She just practiced pronunciation of alphabet!
And she necessarily pointed out mistakes!

⑩“Arnya! This is NOT the “r” sound! NO!”
“Repeat after me!!!!”

11. She was a very very stoic person...
But I wondered that I enjoyed the situation...
That was “not fun”, but “so challenging”.

12. I had continued to go there for two years.
After leaving at the age of 12,
I learned most of all the English pronunciations.

13. I was fluent at English so much at junior high school and high school.

14. Remembering the grammar was never tough for me,
Remembering vocabulary was never tough,
And improving all four skills,
listening, reading, speaking and writing....
was NOT difficult for me.
Studying English hard,
everyone started to respect me.

15. And I entered my favorite University because of English.

16. I thought the American teacher taught me how to speak English
from learning pronunciations.
And she encouraged me to do the best in my life...

17. That’s the reason why I use English.
After learning English, my life has changed.
I was not afraid of being an unique person.

18. English is my identity.
