旧約聖書に出てくるバベルの塔The Tower of Babel from the Old Testament

"人類が天まで届く建造物を造ろうとしてその傲慢に神が怒って破壊した"と一般的には伝わってるみたいですが、実は旧約聖書にはそのように書かれてはいないんですよね。

人類は元々皆んな同じ言語を話していたのですが、人間は群れるとロクな事にならないと思った神が、お互いの言語を通じなくしてバラバラにしてしまったと読むのが正解なのだそう。

そもそも神とノアとの契約は、世界各地に散らばって子孫を残すというものでしたしね。

故にこれらバベルの塔の絵は"神によって破壊された状態"を示したものでは無く、施工途中で神によってお互いの言語を通じなくさせられてしまいこれ以上の建造が出来なくなってしまったという状態なんですよね。

"人間は群れるとロクなもんじゃない"という旧約聖書からの忠告なのかな。

The correct interpretation is that all humans originally spoke the same language, but God thought that humans would not be happy if they were grouped together, so they stopped communicating with each other's language and tore them apart.

In the first place, God's contract with Noah was to scatter his descendants throughout the world.

Therefore, these pictures of the Tower of Babel do not show a state in which it was "destroyed by God," but rather a state in which God made them unable to communicate with each other's language during construction, making it impossible to build it any further. That's right.

I wonder if it's a warning from the Old Testament that "human beings are not happy in groups."
