人工知能時代、果たして正解なのか？(Is the Age of Artificial Intelligence the Right Answer?)

産業革命、インターネット革命を経て、人工知能革命が私たちに近づいてきた。 多くの懸念の中でも産業革命、インターネット革命が人類をより豊かにしただけに、人工知能時代もやはり私たちには祝福だと話すソフトバンクの孫正義会長をはじめ、多くの企業が先を争って開発に投資を惜しまずにいる。
特に、MSはサム·オルトマンを積極的に支持し、アップルを追い抜き、時価総額1位でリードした。 人工知能が絶対的に寄与したことは否めない。
しかし、MSはイリヤ·スツケバーが主張した安全性の問題を考慮せず、むしろそのような主張をした彼を送り出し、人工知能市場を先導していこうとする意図を隠さなかった。 オルトマンに対して牽制をしたスツケーバーに対してMSはオルトマンに手をあげ、資本の力にスツケーバーは屈服せざるを得なかった。
MSはビル·ゲイツが作って世界トップに立った。 創業者のビル·ゲイツは全財産の大部分を寄付すると公言しており、多くの社会事業も行っている。 しかし、そのような行動の裏では矛盾する行動を続けているような気がする。 初期のスティーブ·ジョブズのアップル製品を模倣したし、リベラル思想を強調しながらも、イスラエル戦争に対しては沈黙している。 また、今回の人工知能事態と関連しても利益を前面に押し出した。
もちろん、人工知能市場の競争が加速化しており、後発走者の攻撃を避けて先を行くためには仕方のない選択だったという言い訳がある程度認められるが、果たしてスーパーアライメントチームまで解体して技術開発をしていこうとする意図が何なのか気になる。
人工知能は、まともに利用さえすれば、人間の生活の中で不合理なことまで除去できる良い方法になるだろう。 お金がなくて有能な法律事務所を使わなくても、裁判は人工知能によって公正に進められるだろうし、ヘルス分野でやはり高価で有能な病院を探して遠いところまで移って行く必要もないだろう。
しかし、人工知能によってフェイクが真実に代わることもできる。 確実な対応策が必要だ。 多くの専門家が警告を送っているが、初期段階のせいか、ただ開発に全力を傾けている。
米国のような国では、政府内に人工知能に備えるための特別チームを構成し、私企業が作った人工知能技術に対する対策を準備するのも良い方法だろう。 一般国家では莫大な資本が必要な人工知能分野への投資が容易ではないためだ。 半導体が国家安保に脅威になるということを後になって悟り、対中国牽制や米国内の半導体設備建設を強調したように、人工知能も同様に後になって後悔せず、対策を先制的に作らなければならない。 米国だけで難しければ、ITがどの国よりも速い韓国と設備製造分野で長所を持つ日本と共に共同研究チームを構成するのも良い方法だろう。(Qの希望）

Founded by Bill Gates, Microsoft reached the pinnacle of the global market. Gates has declared his intention to donate most of his wealth and has been involved in numerous social initiatives. Yet, there seems to be a sense of contradiction in their actions. In its early days, Microsoft imitated Steve Jobs' Apple products, emphasized liberal ideologies, but remained silent on issues like the Israel conflict. In the AI controversy, profits took precedence.
 
While it's somewhat understandable that, in the rapidly accelerating AI market competition, Microsoft made unavoidable choices to stay ahead of latecomers, but it raises questions about their intentions behind dismantling even the Superalignment team for technology development.
 
If used properly, AI can be a powerful tool to eliminate irrationalities in human life. Fair trials could be conducted by AI even without expensive legal representation, and in healthcare, people wouldn't need to travel far to find costly and skilled medical services.
 
However, AI could also replace truth with fake realities. There is a need for definitive countermeasures. Although many experts are issuing warnings, the focus remains heavily on development in this early stage.
 
In countries like the U.S., forming a special team within the government to prepare for AI advancements by private companies could be a good strategy. In most countries, it is challenging to invest heavily in AI due to the enormous capital required. Just as the importance of semiconductors for national security was realized late, leading to actions like checks on China and emphasizing domestic semiconductor facilities, US must proactively prepare for AI to avoid future regrets. If it's difficult for the U.S. alone, forming a joint research team with Korea, which excels in IT, and Japan, strong in manufacturing facilities, could be a viable solution.(Q's hope)
