One of the biggest problems in Asia

On the morning of October 4th, The National Early Warning System (J-Alert) was issued in Hokkaido, Aomori, and the Islands of Tokyo after North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan.

The number of missile flight tests by North Korea has increased this year, especially compared to the past several years. Based on my research, at least 50 missiles have been launched this year, making it the largest number ever. North Korea insists that the tests are for artificial satellite development.

Just looking at the number, you may feel terrified. But in fact, people in Japan, including myself, do not take it seriously. The day J-Alert was issued, the news was all over TV and the Internet for the moment. However, on the next day, most people might have forgotten about the news and gone back to their normal life.

Given that North Korea fires missiles frequently, people often link Japan’s circumstance to the story ”The Boy Who Cried Wolf”.  What if a missile actually strikes land? What if a missile reaches the U.S.? All I can do now is just pray nothing bad will happen.
