Real Madrid abandons the recruitment of Kylian Mbappe

Player with the highest market value in activity, Kylian Mbappé has been less popular lately, to the point of cooling Real Madrid idea, off recruiting him for the next Mercato.

Always as effective with PSG in League 1 or even with the French team, Kylian Mbappé clearly marks the step in the Champions League. It remains the flagship competition, the one that allowed Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to march on Europe and win the Ballons d 'Or. And in this event, despite the final reached by PSG last season, Kylian Mbappé simply did not score any goals in 2020.

So the dearth continues, and that is a task for the man who had set the event on fire at the age of only 17, in the jersey of AS Monaco. But between his difficulty in linking the matches between the two seasons, his lack of efficiency in the penalty area like his too soft shot on Neuer in the final, and his recent injury, the Frenchman doesn't make the crowds stand up any more. Real Madrid noticed this, especially its president.

Florentino Pérez step back
According to Don Balon, Florentino Pérez is currently doubtful about his willingness to go on an incredible financial spree to get Mbappé signed, even though the latter no longer seems capable of finding the net in Europe. This information should obviously be taken with the utmost caution, because everyone has already experienced a recurrent lack of efficiency in front of goal, including CR7 and Messi.

But at the same time, the one who is considered the other offensive nugget of European football, Erling Haaland, threads the goals like pearls, like his double on Wednesday evening. Enough to sow doubt in the minds of Real Madrid when it comes to buying the decade next summer?

With 14 goals in 11 Champions League matches, the Norwegian has arguments, and this 2020-2021 edition could well upset the purchase of Mbappé often taken for granted by Real Madrid.
