The Life of Kitten Bucho -13 Gourmet Kitten
Bucho is actually an incredible gourmet.
Royal Canin is a cat food that has a reputation for being delicious among cats. It is imported from Canada.
After Bucho was able to eat dry food, he was eating Royal Canin kitten food that was recommended by the vet. It was quite expensive. When we ran out of that, we switched to regular domestic cat food. He also liked this.
The dry food for Shimao placed next to Bucho's bowl is Royal Canin's food for mild kidney disease, which is used as a preventative measure. It's ridiculously expensive (for us), but it's delicious. It's been well-received by the cats so far.
Observing him closely, I noticed that Bucho often eats Shimao’s Royal Canin. He sniffs his regular food, then quickly shifts his face to the side to eat Shimao’s Royal Canin. He does this four times out of five. I wonder if it's okay for a kitten to eat dry food for adult cats that prevents kidney disease. I have some doubts, but if I tell him not to, he gets even more stubborn, so I let him do what he likes.
Meanwhile, Shimao seems to have grown bored with his special food and is stealing Bucho's regular meals.
Shimao doesn't really like cat food. He would prefer fish that humans eat if possible. He loves grilled salted salmon and the ends of tuna sashimi.
Enticed by Shimao, Bucho has recently started to notice and make a fuss over tuna mixed in with grocery shopping at the supermarket. He has also discovered the deliciousness of dried bonito flakes.
What a scary kitten.
