The Life of Kitten Bucho – 5 A Cat Tower and the Adventurous Era

Actually, I bought a cat tower 12 weeks before I bought the cage. Assembling the wooden cat tower was just as difficult as assembling the cage. There were many parts and screws, and each part was heavy. It took about two days to assemble.

The cat tower had a round board on top with white pompoms for the cat to play with, and underneath it were two hiding boxes, two clear plastic balls, and two round boards for the cat to use as platforms.

However, Bucho, who was only a month old, did not have enough physical ability to play on the cat tower. All he could do was try to get into the round scratching post at the bottom.

Then, one day, I noticed that he was sleeping in a round, transparent ball. I don't know if he used the scaffolding to climb up, but the next day he was engrossed in playing with the white pompom on top.

When we really didn't want him to be disturbed while we were working, we often place him on top of the cage, but one day, he somehow managed to get inside the cage. Again, it was a mystery for a while as to how he managed to get in. Apparently, he was hanging from a thin bar on the outside of the cage and jumping in through the opening like a circus performer.

Kittens grow very quickly. What they couldn't do yesterday, they can do today. By repeating this process, they become adult cats.

It's been about three months since Bucho came to our house. So he's a kitten who is estimated to be just under four months old. But he seems to have already conquered everything in the house. He runs from one end of the small apartment to the other, digs out the cockroach trap under the kitchen, climbs the cat tower, and hides on the top shelf of the closet. He knocks over the vase on the shelf, bites off the artificial flowers that he has dug out, and is as violent as he can be.

Bucho is in the middle of the kitten gang.
