Zidane on Jovic, Achraf and Reguilon: It is easy to say that the coach is to blame, but this is not the case
Zinedine Zidane has come in for some criticism after Luka Jovic's impressive second debut for Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend, yet he does not think the coach should be entirely to blame.
Jovic has returned to Eintracht on a six-month loan spell in order to try and regain some confidence, and the 23-year-old netted two goals in a cameo appearance off the bench in his first game back at the club.

"I am happy and I like it. I wish him and everyone else the best," Zidane said during Tuesday's pre-match press conference.
Jovic joins the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon in succeeding away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but Zidane still believes the Serbian has a future at the club.
"Madrid is difficult, I've experienced it as a player, and what Luka has done is go and play," he noted.
"I think it has been a good option to buy Luka and I am happy for him, and [I hope] for him to do the same one day in Madrid. But inside and outside [the club] it's different.
"He has a future, and he can show it at Madrid and it's the same for everyone. Here there is always a very strong competition, but the coach is not to blame."
Zidane has offered a wink in the direction of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, stating that it is up to him where he wants to play his football.
Ronaldo Nazario noted that great players have the freedom to determine their own future and choose where to play.
"In the end yes, I think that's how Ronaldo said it," Zidane said."I think the same thing, but everyone has a contract and it's not good to get involved in the things of players who are not yours, but I think the same."
The Real Madrid boss was asked about the potential renewals of Sergio Ramos and Lucas Vazquez, as well as reports that a deal is all but wrapped up for David Alaba to join on a free.
"It has nothing to do with it. Sergio and Lucas have been playing for Madrid for a long time," Zidane said when asked if it bothers him that they haven't renewed.
"They are always ready and focused. The rest will be seen in the future."
Another player who could be allowed to depart this month is Alvaro Odriozola."
Anything can happen until January 31," Zidane stated."
Look at Jovic. But I love all my players very much and I will rely on all of them. Then if something happens, we'll see.
"The Frenchman was asked if he gets tired of being criticised, especially given his successes at Real Madrid."
Whether I get tired or not, this is going to continue," Zidane explained."It's not just about winning. It's not only the coaches who work, there are a lot of things behind a team and a club.
Of course we want to win, but in the end there are a lot of things behind it.
"Criticism is not going to stop me from continuing with my work. It has always happened to us in the past. Madrid always react and we are going to try to change the situation."
