すると、隠れた事を見ておられるあなたの父は、報いてくださるであろう。

so that your merciful deeds may be in secret,

信仰者は人が見ていなくても神が見ておられることを知っているので隠れた善行を喜んでします。
Believers are willing to do hidden good deeds because they know that God is watching,
even if people are not watching.

この聖句は、私たちの行動の動機が純粋であるべきであり、神の承認を求めることが最も重要であるということを強調しています。
人々の賞賛や承認を得るために行動するのではなく、神の意志に従い、神の愛と慈悲を反映するような生き方をすることが求められています。
また、私たちの善行は、神に対する信仰と信頼の表れであり、見返りを期待せずに行うべきであるとも教えています。
この教えは、日々の生活の中で謙虚さを持ち、自己の利益や名声を追求するのではなく、神の栄光のために生きることの大切さを思い出させてくれます。
私たちの行いが神に喜ばれるものであれば、神は私たちの隠れた行いを見て、適切な報いを与えてくださるでしょう。
私は日々の生活の中での言動の動機が神の前に純粋で神に喜ばれるもとであるように祈ります。

This verse emphasises that our motives for action should be pure and that seeking God's approval is of paramount importance.
We are not to act in order to gain people's praise or approval, but to live our lives according to God's will and in a way that reflects His love and mercy.
It also teaches that our good deeds are an expression of our faith and trust in God and should be done without expecting anything in return.
This teaching reminds us of the importance of humility in our daily lives and of living for the glory of God rather than pursuing self-interest or fame.
If our deeds are pleasing to God, he will see our hidden deeds and reward us appropriately.
I pray that the motives for our words and deeds in our daily lives will be pure before God and a source pleasing to Him.
