制作ノート　covid19-20プロジェクト「トーキョー聖歌」編

東京の風景音のみを使った作品「トーキョー聖歌」（英：Tokyo Chant）をリリースいたします。

コロナ状況下のサウンドスケープで曲を作ろう。
そう思い立って、たくさんの方にお願いしたのが４月から５月のこと。

このたび、やっと最初のリリース。
東京の風景音のみを使った作品「トーキョー聖歌」（英：Tokyo Chant）です。

私の住んでいる東京。
このエリアを含む都府県に緊急事態宣言が発令されたのは2020年4月7日。
（東京、神奈川、埼玉、千葉、大阪、兵庫、福岡。）

全国ではなくて東京のサウンドスケープを使用するため、
宣言が発令された国会議事堂ではなく、東京都庁を起点に決定。

その東京都庁の緯度経度は35.68944,139.69167　
北緯 35°41′22″ 東経139°41′30″

そして、この日の日出の方位角は、80.7613度。

このふたつ、つまり都庁の位置と日出の方角が基準値となります。

各場所から送ってもらったのは114個のサウンド。
お一人が複数送ってくださったケースは、風の音が強いものなどをはぶかせていただきました。
それらを配置してゆくと・・・

80.7613度、つまり太陽の昇る方角から聴こえる音がちょっとスカスカしてしまう。
逆に、この日出の方角が真後ろにくるように配置するとどうだろう。

悪くないバランス。

本当は太陽が昇ってくるのをみあげる、「希望」的意味合いにしたかったのだけれど。
でも、古事記ではカムヤマトイワレビコ（後の神武天皇）が戦に負けたとき、
（太陽神の子孫であるのに）太陽に向かって戦ったのが敗因であると分析している。
太陽を背におって戦った際に勝利したという逸話もあるので、
本作も日出を背にし、背におう方角ということでよいかもしれない。

　

手探りで始めたため、計算している時には
正面（80.7613度を背にする）をゼロ地点とし、
真後ろ（80.7613度）を１００として、RLの左右値を算出。

その後、LogicでLRを設定する際に
64~マイナス64までしか設定できないことが発覚し、泣く泣く再計算する羽目になったものの、
無事に完成まで漕ぎ着けることができました。

言わずもがなではありますが、
サウンドスケープ後の楽曲はすべて私の声のみで構成。
同じパートを何度も重ねて録音するため、何をどこまで歌ったかわからなくなるという試練に見舞われのでありました・・・。

Creation Note "Tokyo Chant"

I asked many people to record from April to May.

Finally the first release "Tokyo Chant".
This song uses only the sounds of Tokyo.

Tokyo where I live.
The state of emergency was released including Tokyo area on April 7, 2020.
(Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Osaka, Hyogo, Fukuoka.)

To use the soundscape of Tokyo, I decided the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building as the point of origin.

The latitude and longitude of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is 35.68944,139.69167.
35 ° 41′22 ″ north latitude 139 ° 41′30 ″ east longitude

And the azimuth of the sunrise on this day was 80.7613 degrees.

These two, that is, the position of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and the direction of the sunrise, are the reference values.

I received 114 sounds from each place.
In the case where one person sent more than one, the one with strong wind noise was not used.

The sounds heard from the rising direction of the sun were little.
Because of Tokyo Bay.

On the contrary, how about arranging the opposite?

Mnnn.... Not bad.

I wanted to hide "hope" meaning by using the sun rise orientation.
But let's check Kajiki book about Japanese mythology.
There are the story that when Kamyamatoiwarebiko (later Emperor Jimmu) lost the war, He analyzed that the cause of the defeat was that he fought against the sun (even though he was a descendant of the sun god).
So he won when he fought feeling the sun on his back.

It may be good that this song is also in the direction of putting the sun on the back.

When I was calculating
The front (with 80.7613 degrees behind) is the zero point.
The left and right value was calculated with 100 directly behind .
From +100 to -100.

Then when setting LR in Logic,
I found that only 64 to minus 64 could be set.
Ohhhh
I had to re-calculated the value...

Finally I could.

Needless to say,
after the soundscape, all music is made by only my voice.
Since I recorded the same part over and over again, I was confused how many times and which part I sing lol.
