　鎌倉由比ガ浜のブックカフェすきま鎌倉　こにある私の本棚にある本の一つ 紹介の続きです、

　生活保護のケースワーカーはプロであり、言葉が大事だと書く、高級官僚の存在を前回書きました。言葉について私は、長年
考えてきました。いや、言葉に苦しみ、救われてきました。

　この本は横浜にあるドヤ街　寿街で　識字教育に取り組んできた人の本です。被差別側の行かれている人々の状態、歴史、生育史を視座にいれて、識字教育をしています。ここには在日朝鮮人、中国人、南米人、沖縄、部落民、日雇い労働者が参加していました。いじめはや、苦しみ
疑問を抱えてた若い世代、教師、福祉関係者も参加していました。私も若い頃参加していました。

　ここで、被差別側の行かれている人々の言葉を浮かび上がれせるような、詩、本を読み、その感想を文に綴り、書いた文を朗読する。そんな
形で進められました。
　言葉は、文字になる前に存在し、文字になったとしても、声、体、その人の人生、関係性と不可分一体でその中で一番大切な生きるための
言葉を獲得することが識字教育なのだと思いました

"Words to Live Again" by Toshiro Osawa - On my bookshelf at the book café Sukiama in Yuigahama, Kamakura, I continue to introduce one of the books on my shelf.

Previously, I wrote about the existence of high-ranking bureaucrats and noted that social welfare caseworkers are professionals who understand the importance of words. I have long contemplated the power of words. Indeed, I have both suffered and been saved by them.

This book is authored by someone who has been involved in literacy education in the Kotobuki district of Yokohama, a district known for its day laborer accommodations. It focuses on the conditions, history, and developmental histories of marginalized communities, including Korean residents in Japan, Chinese, South Americans, people from Okinawa, and members of discriminated communities, all of whom have participated in this literacy program. Young people burdened with bullying and doubt, teachers, and social welfare professionals also participated; I too joined when I was younger.

Here, the words of the marginalized are elevated through poetry and books, and participants express their thoughts in writing, which are then read aloud. Such was the method of progression in this literacy education program. I came to understand that words, even before they are formed into writing, and even after, as voices, bodies, lives, and relationships, are inseparably integral to acquiring the most important words for living.
