職員室

夕陽が校舎を赤く染め　
やがて藍色の黄昏が訪れる････　

くたびれた職員室。
教師がひとり。

「先生。遅くまで大変ね」
入口から女子生徒が顔をのぞかせる。

「なんだ。まだいたのか」
「うん。大会が近いから」

汗に濡れた頬。
擦りむいた膝小僧。

「あまり無理するな」
「うん。先生こそね」

首をかしげる子猫の仕草。

「おれと一緒に帰ろうか」
「うれしい！ すぐに着替えてくる」

元気な足音が遠ざかってゆく。

････そうなのだけど　
いつまで待っても戻ってこない。

"Should we go home?"
"I am happy! I will change my clothes soon."

Energetic footsteps are moving away.

That's right, she will not come back
