Situation in Ukraine
It has been 724 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,050 soldiers
11 tanks
16 armored combat vehicles
28 cannons
5 drones
1 cruise missile
23 other vehicles
The total number of troops lost was more than 1,000 in a single day.
Russian troop losses exceeded 1,000 in a single day,
bringing the cumulative total to over 400,000.
Across the entire front,
95 ground battles were reported in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian equipment that can be visually confirmed is 1 to 6.7,
which is 6.7 times the number of losses on the Russian side compared to the Ukrainian side.
The Russian losses were mostly tanks,
infantry fighting vehicles and military trucks,
while artillery was only slightly more prominent on the Ukrainian side.
This is a short news report about the situation in Ukraine.

1.
Nawarinuy,
a critic of the Putin regime,
has died in the Arctic Circle prison where he was being held.
According to Russian prison authorities,
Mr. Nawarinuy became ill shortly after taking a walk,
and RT TV reported that the cause was a blood clot.
Nawarinuy's wife called on Western nations to punish him for his death after years in prison,
claiming he was killed by President Vladimir Putin,
and President Biden held a press conference condemning Putin and calling on Congress to approve aid to Ukraine.
2.
During his visit to Germany and France,
President Zelensky first met with German Chancellor Scholz and signed a security agreement for the next 10 years.
The German government also announced a new military aid package totaling 1.1 billion euros.
The aid package includes 36 armored and wheeled howitzers,
120,000 rounds of ammunition,
two Skynex air defense systems,
and IRIS-T missiles.
The wheeled howitzer is considered to be the RCH 155,
which is a self-propelled artillery gun with a 155 mm howitzer,
capable of firing up to 9 rounds per minute,
with high mobility due to its wheeled design,
but also capable of firing while moving.
It can fire up to 9 rounds per minute. It is wheeled,
highly mobile and can fire its cannon while moving.
Equipped with armor and machine guns designed to operate near the front line,
it is expected to be a great success if it does not get a flat tire like the French AMX.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
I will tell you where the war situation is changing.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern part,
towards Bakhmut
We will report about the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Halkiu and Kupyansk,
and from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
In this area the Russians attacked three times near Shinkivka,
six times from Terny to Vesere,
and ten times in the direction of Bakhmut.
Around Siversk
Along the railroad halfway between Berestove and Vessele,
the position video shows Russian troops attacking Ukrainian positions,
resulting in a battle.
Storm Z troops can be seen approaching the Ukrainian positions in vehicles near the Ukrainian positions and entering the Ukrainian positions,
while the Ukrainian troops defend themselves by barricading themselves with tree branches.
The Russian side is shown here,
with Russian troops operating at the location shown on the battle map.
The battle map has been updated to show this area as Russian-occupied rather than contested.
Otherwise,
the Russian attack was repelled by Ukrainian forces,
and there was no information affecting the battle map in these areas.
Southeast Donetsk region
The weather in Avdiivka is cloudy,
sometimes sunny.
The minimum temperature is -6 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 1 degree Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is for showers and occasional clouds.
Below is an update on the situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
The Russians have launched 33 attacks in this area.
The commander of the Ukrainian forces,
Shirsky,
announced the decision to withdraw from Avdiivka.
It is likely that the Ukrainian army will retreat to prepared rear positions,
securing three main withdrawal routes: the road from the coal plant to Orlivka,
the road to Rastochkine,
and the road from the center of the city to Stepovye.
It is unclear what the prepared positions will look like,
but it is expected that the Ukrainian forces will launch localized counterattacks to force the Russians to retreat,
while the Russians will launch an offensive to make it difficult for them to retreat.
The withdrawal has already begun,
but Russian forces have suffered heavy casualties,
more than 1,200,
and analysis by the Institute for the Study of War suggests that further Russian losses are likely.
Rather than a withdrawal,
it appears to be more of a retreat tactic,
using the withdrawal as bait to draw in Russian troops and reduce their strength.
1.
On the main road from Verkhnotoretske to Avdiivka,
the located video shows Ukrainian troops attacking moving vehicles with drones,
destroying three trucks,
one BTR armored fighting vehicle and one MTLB armored fighting vehicle,
reducing their strength.
The image shown is from the Ukrainian side,
observing an armored vehicle abandoned on the road in the battle map.
2.
A heavy fuel oil tank ignites and catches fire at a coal power plant due to artillery and multiple rocket fire.
The Russians are also using phosphorus bombs,
which create toxic smoke and make the situation more difficult.
The image shown is from the Ukrainian Army's 3rd Assault Brigade and shows a large amount of smoke rising from the factory.
The factory is controlled by the Ukrainian Army and there is no change in the battle map at this time.
3.
The video with location data shows Ukrainian troops in armored vehicles retreating south on O0542,
confirming that the retreat is relatively orderly.
Fourth.
This video,
also with location data,
shows Ukrainian troops advancing and maneuvering through artillery fire near a gas station east of the industrial road.
The image shown is from the 3rd Assault Brigade and is close to the battle map.
This area is shown as Russian-occupied,
but the degree of occupation is low,
indicating that there is actually room for Ukrainian forces to operate.
5th.
Meanwhile,
in the city center,
Russian troops advanced and occupied the area from the east side of the train station to the beach.
The image shown here is of the central park in front of the train station,
where the Russian troops have raised their flags.
The Russian soldiers can be seen on the lookout,
and we can also confirm that the ground battle is taking place in close proximity to the area.
We have updated the battle map from the disputed area to the Russian occupied area to show its extent.
The area is approximately 1 square kilometer.
6th.
The water treatment plant on the eastern outskirts of the city has been marked and occupied by Russian troops after the Ukrainian troops withdrew.
Seventh.
Conversely,
at the Tsarskaokhota restaurant,
Ukrainian troops attacked and Russian troops responded with artillery fire.
The video shown is from the Russian side,
with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles approaching.
There is no change in the battle map,
but this location seems to be a vital spot for the Russians,
and we will keep you updated on any changes.
8th.
In the vicinity of Severne,
operations are underway to block or prevent the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops.
According to the location video,
Ukrainian troops have conducted drone strikes southeast of Severne,
indicating that this area is under Russian military control.
The battle map has been updated to show the area as Russian-occupied rather than contested.
That's all for now on the war situation in Avdiivka.
Otherwise,
we have unconfirmed reports that the Russians have attacked and advanced south of Neveleske,
and we have updated the battle map from the Ukrainian recaptured area to the contested area in that area.
Marinka Sector
In this sector,
the Russians launched 33 attacks,
all of which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
South,
Zaporizhia region.
In this sector,
the Russians launched three attacks near Staromaiorsk,
which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
There were no reports of ground fighting in the areas of Verbove and Robotyne.
Southern Kherson Province
The Russians made three attacks on Krinky in this sector,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
leaving the battle map unchanged.

plus $10 billion in lost revenue due to canceled or delayed arms exports,
315,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded,
and there is downward pressure on economic growth through 2026. The report also said that the suspension or postponement of arms exports has resulted in $10 billion in lost revenue and 315,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded.
By the way,
Russia's GDP is ranked 8th in the world at $1.7 trillion in 2021.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has wiped out a year's worth of GDP growth and cast a dark shadow over its ability to continue the war.
