The Situation in Ukraine
It has been 798 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
Let's start with the general situation
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses are 1120 soldiers
5 tanks
21 armored fighting vehicles
13 artillery guns
1 air defense system
7 drones
36 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 115 ground battles in a single day
The Russian offensive on land was launched simultaneously in many directions.
Seeing the long war as a disadvantage,
the Russians are trying to settle this battle in the short term.
Can we call it Armageddon in the Book of Revelation?
Each axis of attack is launching a do-or-die offensive,
with all available means at their disposal.
And the ratio of the number of Ukrainian equipment losses to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.4,
compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side!
The Russian losses are mostly infantry fighting vehicles,
but the number of equipment losses is decreasing due to the fact that they are conducting offensive operations mainly with infantry instead of using equipment.
On the other hand,
on the Ukrainian side,
armored fighting vehicles and pickups are conspicuous.
Here is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter function to watch the part you need.
First.
The largest coordinated missile attack to date on military targets in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Although the Ukrainian military is silent and the Russian military claims no damage,
social networking sites report that explosions were heard at several locations in Krasnopelekopsky,
Zhankoy,
Evpatoria,
Hvardyske,
and Simferopol.
In Simferopol,
a Russian air defense unit was hit by a missile and caught fire,
burning for more than an hour and a half and injuring a number of Russian soldiers,
according to the Telegram channel,
while the air defense unit of the Saki air base and the Jankoy air base also reported attacks,
injuring at least nine Russian soldiers as far as we know.
There are also reports that at least nine Russian soldiers have been wounded.
The extent of the damage is unknown,
but Defense Express reports that unconfirmed reports from Russia indicate that four anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed,
and in Crimea,
Russia's latest S400 air defense system deployed at Cape Tarkankut was destroyed by ATACMS on April 28.
The report states that this time,
too,
there was likely to be catastrophic damage,
mainly to airfields and anti-aircraft targets,
given the fact that
This creates a blind spot on Russia's radar and increases the likelihood that Ukraine's offensive will be accelerated,
as cruise missiles and suicide drones,
which could have been shot down in the past,
can be deployed.
According to military analyst Kovalenko,
"It would take at least 30 ATACMS to destroy Crimea's air defense system.
Especially in Evpatoria,
where Russia's most advanced air defense systems are concentrated," he said,
adding that an attack on the air defense systems is crucial to destroying the Crimean Bridge.
And according to the New York Times,
"The United States has shipped about 100 ATACMS to Ukraine as of March," and U.S.
coordinating spokesman Kirby stated on March 30 that "there is no evidence that Russian forces have succeeded in shooting down any ATACMS," while at the same time revealing that "a significant number of ATACMS "A significant number of ATACMS were transported to Ukraine.
Military analyst Philip Carper told Radio Free Europe that "this attack could render Crimea militarily worthless."
Second.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) released a report predicting that "the position of the Russian economy will continue to decline.
The study estimated the output of goods and services in terms of purchasing power parity,
and found that Russia's share of world output will decline by 0.05% from 2.94% in 2023 to 2.9% in 2025 and 2.85% in 2026.
If this trend continues,
the share will be lower than the 2.83% share in the Russian financial crisis of 1998.
The IMF also expects Russia's economy to continue to slow,
growing only 1.8% in 2025 and 1.3% in 2029.
According to economist Alexandra Saslina,
"Russia will raise taxes to finance the war effort,
and the Kremlin is trying to bring the Russian economy closer to the end of the Soviet Union.
Tanks and bombs will be destroyed,
and the next growth will not come from destroyed tanks.
So,
here is the war situation in the various regions.
I will focus on the areas where the war situation is changing.
You can follow the changes with the date in full screen on the big screen
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern Bakhmut
We will report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to Bakhmut.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 9 times near Berestove,
13 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
and 33 times around Sibersk and in the direction of Bakhmut.
Kharkiv Governor Sinev Bov stated that the Russian military strength in Kharkiv (Kharkiv) was 20,000 men,
and in Kupyansk 100,000 men,
replacing the forces lost in the last two months.
There is speculation of a Russian invasion of Harkiv in the summer,
but with 20,000 men it would be difficult to attack Harkiv right now.
Kupyansk area
In Kislivka,
location-based video footage shows Russian troops shelling the west side of the settlement,
suggesting that Ukrainian forces are in control of this area and,
conversely,
Russian troops have occupied the eastern side of the settlement,
including the sports park.
The battle map has been updated to show the Russian occupation of this area from the disputed territory.
We also have information that the Russians attacked and occupied the southern valley of Tabayivka to the south,
and have updated the battle map to include this area as an extension of the disputed territory.
We will update this battle map again as soon as we have more information.
Svatove-Kreminna line
Around Sibersk
1st.
Southeast of Yampolivka,
Ukrainian forces counter-attacked Russian positions and recaptured part of the area in a mopping-up operation.
The images shown are from the 63rd Mechanized Brigade and the 23rd Rifling Battalion of the Ukrainian Army,
and are of the locations indicated on the map.
Please be aware that due to the recent Russian military offensive,
various videos have been uploaded to this platform,
and videos using the same material are being checked,
so we will be able to show you fewer videos.
For that reason,
we will give you the most important and stimulating ones in the telegram.
We have updated the battle map of this area as the Ukrainian army has recaptured it from the disputed territory.
The area is about 2 square kilometers.
Second.
In Bilohorivka,
the Russians attacked the area east of the mine near the water treatment plant,
but were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
This was a position recaptured by Ukrainian forces about two weeks ago,
but Ukrainian artillery and drone fire destroyed Russian T64 and BMP infantry fighting vehicles,
which were then repulsed.
Drone footage also shows that a number of vehicles were damaged on the road mapped in the battle so far.
The image shown is from the Ukrainian side and shows the wreckage of many vehicles on the road shown on the map.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Third.
The positional video shows that on the railroad south of Vimka,
Ukrainian forces counter-attacked,
forcing the Russians to retreat.
This was confirmed by Russian troops conducting drone strikes at the location shown on the map.
This location was advanced by the Russians two weeks ago in a motorcycle offensive,
but the Russians have retreated back to the location they occupied in early March.
The battle map has been updated to show the Ukrainian army recapturing this location from Russian occupation and disputed territory.
ChasivYar Area
In this area,
Russian troops are preparing for offensive operations in the near future.
According to the report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the number of attacks in the Bakhmut area,
including ChasivYar,
is 20% more than in the area of Avdiivka,
and on this day,
the Russian army is concentrating its attacks in the ChasivYar area.
It is possible that the Russians are trying to disperse and exhaust the Ukrainian forces by changing the direction of their attacks from day to day,
so that they cannot target the defensive positions.
1st.
On the Canal,
Ukrainian forces counterattacked,
entering Russian-occupied territory from the forest east of the Canal and conducting offensive operations.
We know this because the Russians are carrying out rocket bombardments in the areas shown on the map.
The image shown here is from a Russian drone and shows the forested area shown on the map.
The Russian airstrike was very close to friendly positions,
and the Russians were right on the edge.
The success or failure of the Ukrainian attack is unknown at this time,
and the battle map remains unchanged at this time.
Second.
Meanwhile,
to the south of the Canal,
positional video shows that the Russians have attacked along a forested area and some infantry have reached the canal.
The image shown here is from the Ukrainian side and shows Russian soldiers attempting to cross the canal.
In the video,
you can clearly see a large earthen pipe that carries water from the canal.
The battle map has been updated to show Russian troops occupying the rear of this area and the area up to the canal as disputed territory.
Third.
Just south of this point,
at the intersection with T0504,
an image of a destroyed Russian tank confirms that the Russians have reached this point,
and the battle map has been updated to show an expansion of the disputed area.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
Weather in Avdiivka was sunny.
The minimum temperature is 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 20 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is also cloudy.
The following is an update on the situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka
Russian troops have made 24 attacks in this sector,
and it appears that the speed of Russian advance in this sector has slowed down,
and the Ukrainian army is slowly regaining its defensive position.
1st.
According to the information we have,
the Russians have occupied both Novokalinove and Keramik,
and are attacking the Ukrainian lines of defense,
and we have updated the battle map with red marks indicating the occupied territories of Keramik and Novokalinove,
as the Russians have taken over the area from the disputed territories.
2nd.
In the Ocheretine salient,
the Russian offensive is coming to a standstill.
The Russians are blocked by a defensive line and are struggling as Ukrainian forces have started to attack the flanks of the salient.
According to several sources and analyses,
the Russians may be redeploying their forces in order to shift the axis of attack from Keramik and Ocheretiyne to the north,
towards Arkhangelske,
instead of expanding westward.
There is no other information that would affect the battle map,
and as has been the case in the past,
it will be necessary for the Russians to make some changes in order to advance,
as a stabilization of the situation would favor the defenders and allow the Ukrainian forces to launch localized counterattacks.
Marinka area
Vuhledar area
In this sector,
the Russians have made 20 attacks
1st.
In Novomihailivka,
the position of the Russian attack indicates that the Russians have captured a residential area north of the town and its northern suburbs,
updating the battle map.
The area is about 4 square kilometers.
2nd.
In Urozyne,
the battle map has been updated to show that Russian forces occupied the rear of the town,
which is now the focus of a workshop to the south of the town,
from the disputed area.
Southern Zaporizhia Province
Southern province of Kherson
In this sector,
the Russians attacked seven times at Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne,
There were five attacks on Krinky and the island of Nestorja,
but there was no information that could affect the battle map.
There was much to report today,
That's all for now.
I would appreciate it if you could give me your analysis in the comments section.
Thank you for watching!
