Situation in Ukraine
It has been 803 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,040 soldiers

34 armored fighting vehicles
38 guns
1 air defense system
47 drones
1 cruise missile
65 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 95 ground attacks in one day.
The Russian military is stepping up its offensive in preparation for President Vladimir Putin's inauguration on May 7 and Russia's Victory Day on May 9.
A periodic report from the British Ministry of Defense also noted that Russian casualties could accelerate in the next two months as the Russian military begins to focus on "quantity over quality."

The Russians launched an opportunistic offensive in this sector,

ChasivYar Area
Russian troops have reportedly made the decision to occupy ChasivYar by May 9,
and Ukrainian military spokesman Voloshin appeared on Ukrainian television to talk about Russian military strength in this area.
He said that the enemy has concentrated between 20,000 and 25,000 troops in the area of ChasivYar and is trying to bypass the city's flanks.
That said,
the battle map showed Russian forces reported ground battles in Novi,
south of Ivanivske,
and Klishchiivka,

Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
