①Coming out of my cage は「魂の牢獄から抜け出す」という意味だと解釈しました。PVでリンゴを投げていますが、これは愛の宣言を意味します。つまり「古代ギリシャ」の考え方に言及しようとしています。彼は「欲望は 魂を肉体という牢獄に閉じ込める。僕はそこから抜け出す」と言いたいのでしょう。

②この楽曲は、The KillersのボーカルであるBrandon Flowers氏の体験をもとに作られました。彼はある夜、ラスベガスのパブに行き、そこで彼女と男が一緒にいるのを目撃しました。

③歌詞に "聖人" が出てくるのは、「ネポムクの聖ヨハネ」の故事を引用している可能性があります。【聖ヨハネの殉教の背景には、司祭として知りえた王妃の告解の内容を王に明かすことを拒んだからとする説がある。王を怒らせた聖ヨハネは、拷問を受け落命した ～wikiより】つまり、妻の不倫を疑う王の嫉妬により、悲劇が起きました。
