Pan

I understand why Pan is half-goat now.
Goats are greater mountain climbers. They can go up steep terrains. the same with mules, donkeys. horses trump the flat ones. To be perverse I would even say Pan dwells in an elevator. The key to conjure his image is a change in altitude. Ladders and declines. He jumps in gradients.
