自分の母国語を忘れて、親と重要な人生の決断について話す時にどもるほどになってしまった時は、本当に悲しい話だ。
それはーーー

「少小离家老大回,
乡音无改鬓毛衰,
儿童相见不相识,
笑问客从何处来」

（唐・ 贺知章《回乡偶书二首·其一》）

和訳:
少年は家出して大人になって帰ったが、方言は変わらず、髭も髪も抜け落ちて禿げたなった。子供のときには知らない子どもから「オイジさん、どこから来たの?」と尋ねられる。

ーーーよりむしろ、


「古き方言と訛りを忘れ、
でも髭（ひげ）も髪も白く染まずーー短くなってしまって、
老夫婦から「学生さん、我が子はどこにいる事が存じますか」
と問われる」
この様な悲しい事になってしまった時だ。
