It's not really bad situation regarding corona virus so far in Japan.
Do we need to take or let your baby to be vaccinated of flu?

Babies and kids are at higher risk of developing serious flu-related complications than adults. Children commonly need medical care because of flu, especially children younger than 5 years old.

In Japan, if your baby aged older than 6months you can let them to take it.
Also, aged younger than 12 years old, it is highly recommended to take the shot twice in the season to keep high immune effect.
You probably need to get the booking from the paediatric in your community so just ask them.
