ホラティウスの『詩論』に「詩は絵の如く(ut pictura poesis)』という言葉があります。(参照: アリストテレース『詩学』／ホラーティウス『詩論』(松本仁助、岡道男訳、岩波文庫）これは、19世紀のロマン主義の詩に大きな影響を与えました。ウィリアム・ワーズワースの詩を見てみましょう。
