HumiGal 0.2.5 Version Update : Zero-Code Visual Novel Engine for Mobile Reading

HumiGal is a zero-code engine for Galgames and visual novels, designed for easy reading on mobile phones, tablets, and computers. With its simple interface, even those without prior experience in creating visual novels can get started within five minutes. HumiGal supports the serialized release of chapters in visual novels.

New Features and Enhancements

HumiGal Engine

  • A new real-time preview feature has been implemented, alongside enhancements to the editor’s layout. The preview feature currently has several known issues that are slated for optimization in the upcoming version.

  • A new feature in the real-time preview allows for trial play beginning from the selected storyboard.

HumiHumi Reading Platform

  • Functionality to display the number of plays and comments for creations has been added to the homepage.

There may be undiscovered bugs with new features. Should any bugs be encountered, we encourage you to report them to us :)

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where logging into HumiGal would inadvertently redirect to the HumiHumi platform.

  • Addressed a problem that occasionally prevented renaming of chapters.

Exciting new features and enhancements

Humigal Engine

  • Desktop support for Windows, MacOS, and Linux will be introduced to alleviate editing lag and issues with local data desynchronization from the server (efforts are underway for data localization).

  • The real-time preview feature is set to be optimized to allow proportional scaling, ensuring that the preview accurately reflects the user’s gameplay experience.

  • Enhancements to the jump feature.

  • Continued improvements to multilingual support.

  • Enhancements to the undo feature will be made to enhance its usability.

  • The work update status feature will be reintroduced.

Anticipated bug fixes

  • The Android login/registration screen may experience flashing.

  • Errors potentially caused by adding or removing branches in the editor, such as branch anomalies, material errors, and storyboard displacements (attributed to an algorithm issue, expected to be resolved in the next release).

  • The possibility of game assets being cleared when using the undo button to revert to a previous step (anticipated to be resolved with the desktop version rollout).

  • A certain probability exists that adding or reusing assets could lead to all materials being altered.

  • Jumping back to a previous storyboard may cause the game to fail to load.
