【A true record】I was surprised at the result of my year's activities in NFT art!

Hello, I'm Hikaru, a creator from GALAXY POP CREW!

Today, I want to share my journey as an art novice, where I released handdrawn NFT artworks from all over Japan over a period of 9 months.

With the completion of 47 pieces, I would like to write about my NFT art journey and everything leading up to this point.

First, let's reflect on the journey from when I started my NFT journey until now.

Let's go back one year.

"I still don't feel like I'm making progress towards what I want to do."

After graduating from college, all of my hobbies turned into work, and I gained more titles and societal recognition.

However, there was a moment when I realized that living for approval was futile. I decided to abandon my real name and started focusing on my passion for music, which was my hobby at the time.

Since 2019, I have been actively involved in music activities.

In 2020, I had made the decision to start street performances in urban areas of Japan. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to abandon those plans.

"Right, instead, I'll start live streaming," I thought enthusiastically, and thus began my journey of live streaming for a year and a half starting in 2020.

Even though it was through a screen, I wanted to give it my all and strive to move and entertain the people in front of me!

With that belief in mind, I engaged in various activities. As a result, I successfully held solo live performances and had positive experiences in my endeavors. However, the live streaming aspect turned out quite different than expected, with an abundance of comedic moments.

Despite intending it to be a music-focused stream, it consistently turned into a variety show, and to be honest, it left me perplexed by constantly ranking first in that category.

Next, I put my efforts into TikTok, hoping it would lead me closer to the music scene. Whenever I posted, the average views reached around 300,000.

However, it was disheartening that the content, which was more focused on entertainment, lacked a connection to my music.

While it was gratifying to have passionate fans who supported me personally, it was also saddening at the same time.

"The essence of creation is to have art loved by others without exposing oneself at all."

In the era of new, with the widespread use of smartphones, I personally experienced how fulfilling dreams has become more within reach.

"With that in mind, let's start something new in uncharted territory!"

With that enthusiasm, I embarked on my journey into NFT art.

To be honest, I have received opinions such as, "NFT art and the metaverse are still ahead of their time. It's too early to make a career out of them."

However, I quickly dismissed such critics' opinions. With a curiosity that said, "You won't know until you try," I, as someone with no prior experience in illustration, started with doodles of this style.

As someone who only knew about NEMcoin and Bitcoin, I began studying while utilizing Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

With the mindset of an aspiring athlete starting their training, I relentlessly continued to share my creative works.

I carefully crafted the concepts, considered the future potential, and started releasing approximately 5 artworks per month starting from July.

Then, on one fateful night after listing my artworks, a miracle happened, and I was approached with an incredible opportunity.

Then, on the night I listed my artworks, a miracle happened, and two of my pieces were sold.

After that, my artworks continued to sell one after another.

Furthermore, my artworks were exhibited in several locations across Japan after that.

I entered the NFT skyrocketing rankings and secured the 3rd position.

My achievements were featured in the news as well.

I found myself surrounded by fellow supporters who purchased my art, hardworking creators, and wonderful individuals I encountered during my creative journey.

And eventually, I reached a point where people who saw my work started approaching me with art commission requests.

It all began with that very first artwork.

And now, here you are, at the 47th artwork, marking the culmination of nine months of creative journey.

And now, in the ninth month of my journey into NFT art, having released 47 pieces, here are the things I have learned.

- Opportunities are not something you wait for; you need to seize them.

- Reflection, improvement, and taking action are crucial.

- Effective use of Twitter is vital in the world of NFT.

- Prioritize the people in front of you.

- Always approach activities with the intention of entertaining.

- Take breaks when feeling eye strain.

The first chapter of 47 artworks has come to an end, and the second chapter will begin with 193 pieces.

I will continue to be grateful for the opportunity to engage in daily activities, and I aspire to enhance the quality of my work each day. I will cherish my fellow creators and strive to create art that inspires people worldwide.

In the second chapter, I believe that I can bring about even more positive changes! With that belief, I will continue to push forward and strive for progress.
