Harbin Ice Festival❄

Have you ever heard of a city called Harbin? It is the capital of Heilongjiang Province, located in northeastern China. Harbin is known for its frigid climate, with an average winter temperature of - 30℃

Nonetheless, Harbin remains a top destination this year, drawing in a considerable crowd of visitors. One of the main highlights is the Ice Festival. The city of Harbin is adorned with stunning ice sculptures that are fantastically illuminated throughout. The festival is renowned worldwide for its spectacular ice and snow displays, along with Sapporo in Japan and Quebec in Canada, attracting significant numbers of tourists.

Other top-rated tourist spots in Harbin include ski resorts and the magnificently-lit St. Sophia Cathedral!

Luoyang, Henan Province🛕

Not to be outdone by Harbin's popularity, China's other provinces also promote their attractions in unique ways, especially on social media. Here is an example of one of them: Henan Province.

Among others, Luoyang in Henan, where many historical buildings remain, offers a distinct service centered around "welcoming customers back to the city." A 185-cm tall man greets tourists at the railroad station with a horse-drawn carriage. The service has been adding excitement among customers as they can instantly experience a slip back in time to the ancient capital!

Luoyang is a favorite tourist destination where you can experience the history of China, with attractions such as the Longmen Grottoes, the world's largest stone carving artifact, and Shaolin Temple, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Chinese New Year🌸

While New Year's Day has just ended in Japan, many people in China will celebrate the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) from February 10 to 17. This provides a long holiday weekend , and family reunions and shopping sprees are common traditions at that time, as people travel back to their hometowns. Children also receive "hong bao," a red envelope containing a cash gift, from their elders. Moreover, there has been an increasing trend of families going on vacations during this festive season.

The traditional foods eaten during Chinese New Year vary from region to region, and this time we will introduce some of them from the Wuxi area of Jiangsu Province, where the Fujitsu General Group China Plant is located.

1.The first one is Yan Shui Tai Hu Xia. In Wuxi, near the large lake Taihu Lake, lake shrimp dishes are a favorite of men and women of all ages. The shrimp's body is curved, but each section is as tall as a bamboo joint, meaning everything is perfect and work is going well.

2.Zi Yan Bai Wei Ji is a chicken dish. The whole chicken is steamed, as shown in the photo, or boiled. The word "chicken" symbolizes "good luck" and is used to wish for a happy new year and that all goes well.

3.Rou Mian Jin, a well-known delicacy in the Wuxi region, has been a staple dish in every household during the Chinese New Year for generations. The cooking process is uncomplicated: minced meat is stuffed into fu and flavored with soy sauce and other seasonings.

4.On the morning of New Year's Eve in Wuxi, Nian Gao Yuan Zi Tang, a traditional glutinous dumpling soup, is a must-have dish. The locals have a sweet tooth and often include ingredients like black sesame seeds or sweetened red bean paste in the soup. The dish is believed to bring blessings of longevity and happiness.

Japanese people also enjoy Osechi dishes as a good luck charm. Still, the Chinese New Year menu offers a distinctive and fresh selection of dishes. They are all visually appealing and mouth-watering!

In addition to this, the Wuxi factory puts up a Chinese New Year hanging scroll on the office door every year to add to the festive atmosphere🐉
