私の魂の叫び－マーラー交響曲第3番に触れた感想

マーラーの交響曲第3番は、1895年から1896年にかけて作曲された大規模な作品です。全6楽章からなり、演奏時間は約100分です。この交響曲は、自然や人間の愛をテーマにした自然賛歌的な内容を持っています。

マーラーは、この交響曲をハンブルク時代に作曲しました。彼は夏の休暇を利用して、アッター湖畔のシュタインバッハで作曲活動を行いました。そこで彼は自然の美しさや力に触れ、音楽に表現しようとしました。

マーラーは、この交響曲に曲全体と各楽章に標題を付けていましたが、後に誤解を避けるために削除しました。標題は、牧神やバッカス、天使や愛など、自然や人間のさまざまな側面を表していました。

第3楽章は、森の動物たちが語ることを表現したスケルツォで、ホルンのソロが印象的です。

The Cry of My Soul - Thoughts on Mahler's Symphony No. 3

Mahler's Third Symphony is a large-scale work composed between 1895 and 1896. It consists of 6 movements, and the performance time is approximately 100 minutes. This symphony has a nature hymn-like content that focuses on the love of nature and humans.

Mahler composed this symphony during his time in Hamburg. He used his summer vacation to compose in Steinbach on the Atter Lake. There, he encountered the beauty and power of nature and tried to express it in music.

Mahler had included titles for the entire piece and each movement in this symphony, but he later removed them to avoid misunderstandings. The titles represented various aspects of nature and humanity, such as fauns and Bacchus, angels and love.

This symphony is considered to be one of Mahler's longest and most difficult symphonies. However, the music is rich and varied, and leaves a deep impression on the listener.

I was inspired by this symphony and tried to compose a poem. I expressed my feelings of being fascinated by your performance.

I was captivated by Abbado and the Berlin Philharmonic's performance.
The music that reached the ears of Japanese audiences
It was the cry of my soul

I cried at the third movement
For me it was a “heavenly song”
For me it was a blessing to the musicians.

The audience said they didn't understand Rakuri.
Me too, but it doesn't matter
we felt the heart of the music

I asked the audience whether they liked the song or the performance.
I love both, but more
I am grateful to the Japanese audience.

The third movement is a scherzo expressing the stories of forest animals, with an impressive horn solo.

The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Abbado and Anna Larsson's alto solo are wonderful. This is a live recording performed at Suntory Hall in 1998.
