Today was totally off.
I went to Opera House and watched 2 performances.

In the afternoon, “A Kind of Hush” that is featured Karen Carpenter who is known as the legendary singer of Carpenters.

Hush means a silence. Karen’s voice and lyrics are often resonating and melting to my heart without stimulation.

This concert’s set list is
“Yesterday Once More””Rainy Days and Mondays””Superstar””Goodbye to Love””Top of the World “”Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft” and more.

4 singers performed at this concert, especially the youngest singer LAYLA HAVANA is so great. When I heard her voice, tears dropped down naturally. I’m looking forward to her feature.

Audience was singing with when “Close to you” that is performed as encore. There was filled kindness.

I produced the idea that features Carpenters song with orchestra when I worked as a producer at theatre. When I attended and watched the space of “A kind of Hush”, I could recognize to my feelings and worthy is correct.

In the evening, I attended the subscription concert of Sydney Symphony Orchestra(SSO). Today’s program features Sibelius and Finland’s myths and legends. Osmo Vänskä who is known as our greatest living Sibelian'(Sunday Times) conducts SSO.

SSO’s sounds make me surprised. Their sounds is highly better than my imagination. Especially when they performed “Lemminkäinen Suite”. This piece based on legends often makes me sleepy. But they didn’t make me sleepy. Strings section is powerful and they have intensity and sensitivity. I feel Sydney’s audience of orchestra concert is lacking concentration. They often drop down their smart phones, pamphlets, bottles while the concert. That sounds make other audience and players nervous.
