Day39

Today, we learned some idioms about love and relationships. I don’t know the all idioms’s means.

For example, “apple of someone’s eye”.
We can use when depict to special person.
“You are the apple of my eye”.

I’ll attempt to write this diary with these idioms.

After the class, I went to go to Opera house to attend the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s concert. Today’s title was named “WHEN GEORGE MET ARNOLD.” This concert focuses to friendship between George Gershwin and Arnold Schoenberg. They are completely different in age and composition style. But they had a great friendship through conversation and playing tennis.

This concert was started with Overture of “Girl Crazy.” Actually I love this music when I was child. This music is absolutely amazing to depict Gershwin’s world.

This concert was so crazy too. Because a short film that depicts their friendship was made for only one night.

I was impressed by a dialogue by Arnold.
When George asked Arnold “How do you usually compose your work, what is your process ?”, Arnold replied “First, I field worked whole, and then I composed the details, It’s like shape of city, and then the streets, and then the houses, rooms, furnitures.” This dialogue helps us how to listen his works.

And when they talked about Mozart and Beethoven Arnold said “Music talent is yes but also the gift of hard works.”

This concert consisted many their works, you can see the whole program below.
