Day19

Today is called by ANZAC Day that is public holiday in Australia. ANZAC Day means Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The day is commemorate to solder’s contribution since 1st World War.

The parade was taked place near the Hyde park around 3 hours.

I think this event is an opportunity to think that we can live to safety in the country with their contiribution.

But I was confused when I watched this parade. This commemoration includes the contribution of 2nd World War. Japan is the only country to attack Australian property(lands) in the world. Japanese submarine came to Sydney Harvor to attack. I think this fact ever gone away. And I am Japanese in the morment, in the future, in the past. This fact also ever gone away.

I went to Hayes Theatre to watch “Tell Me on the Sunday”. This piece was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is on of the greatest composer in the musical theatre history. This piece is monologue by an acteess. She is always finding the true love. She have never gone anywhere with partners on Sunday. Becouse the partners have other relationships, for example the family, other woman, work. She wish to meet someone who is able to go somewhere on Sunday.

First performance of “Tell Me on the Sunday”is in 1977 when the next year of Evita’s release. Evita was using the men to progress for her dream. I guess Webber wanted to write the woman who has opposite situation with Evita.

This theatre has 120 seats. There is tiny but they use the space effectively, I like to this theatre. I’ll be able to watch Britten’s opera and “Holiday inn” and “Little Woman” and more in this theatre.
