Be revived, the original Tachibana Sound!　/　よみがえれ、初代･橘サウンド！ ～2024 橘ファミリーバンド・コンサート

　It's amazing.
　　驚くべきことだ。

　I wonder, how much on earth practice they had after that?
　The 'Tachibana Sound' of the pre-1990s, i.e. the Hiramatsu Sensei era,
is being revived, by his students.
　　あれから、彼等は、いったいどれほどの練習を重ねたのだろうか？
　　1990年代以前、つまり平松先生時代の「橘サウンド」が、先生の
　お弟子さん達の手で息を吹き返しつつある。

　　It is firstly symphonic and beautiful. And it is delicate, but never go cramped, in other words, full of stretching and the joy of playing music.
　　それは第一に、シンフォニックで美しい。そして、繊細でありながらも決して窮屈にはならない。言い換えると、伸びやかで、音楽を演奏する喜びに満ちている。

　　Instead of overly concerned with details and playing in a reserved, in a small way, they try to play their instruments up with all their heart and without hesitation. The performance has something in common with the rough-hewn but dynamic and heart-stirring performance of the 'Orange Devils Era', i.e. from late 2000s to 2010s. It is as if They are saying, "Tachibana's music is not about appearances, but about the heart".
　　彼等は細部を過度に気にして、小手先で遠慮がちに演奏するのではなく、気持ちを込めて、躊躇なく、楽器を鳴らし切ろうとする。 その演奏は、「オレンジの悪魔時代」の、荒削りだが、ダイナミックで心を揺さぶる演奏に通じるものがある。 まるで、「橘の音楽に大切なのは体裁ではありません。大切なのは、心なのです。」と言っているかのようだ。

　Yes, it is on this groundwork that the 'marching revolution' of the 2000s was also achieved. The reason why Tachibana's marching in the 'Devils Era' was phenomenal and overwhelming, but never overbearing or authoritative, and always full of love, is because this spirit always flowed at the bottom of the band.
　　そう、2000年代の「マーチング革命」も、この下地の上に成し遂げられたのだ。 「悪魔時代」の橘のマーチングが、驚異的で圧倒的でありながらも決して威圧的でも権威的でもなく常に愛に満ちていたのは、この精神が常にバンドの底流に流れていたからだ。

　Tachibana Family Band, oh, really, how much practice did they get after that? It is as if the band, which was just a friendly exchange between alumni, is about to be reborn as a group of active performers in just a year or two. ...Since having lost the founder, the irreplaceable mentor.
　　橘ファミリー・バンド、ああ本当に、彼等はあれからどれほど沢山の練習を積んできたのだろうか？　まるで、卒業生の親睦交流に過ぎなかったバンドが、わずか１年か２年で現役の演奏家集団に生まれ変わろうとしているかのようだ。創立者でもあった、かけがえのない偉大な指導者を失ってしまってから...。

　Of course, they are still in the process of improving and have many challenges, though. It should be taken into consideration enough that they are amateurs who have their own household duties and jobs as their main occupation.
　　もちろん、まだ向上の途中であり、課題も少なくない。 しかし、彼等はそれぞれの家事や仕事を本業としているアマチュアであり、そのことも十分に考慮されるべきだろう。
