I came across an inspiring article about an innovative technology that has transformed the lives of 300 women and girls in southwest Morocco. A metallic structure with nets, positioned at an altitude of 1,225 meters, captures droplets of water from fog. The nets trap fine drops of water, which are then collected in storage tanks. As mentioned in the article, nearly 1,000 people are enjoying the many advantages of this fog water technology. The most impressive benefit is that, thanks to these captured droplets of water, women and girls were freed from the burden of having to fetch water. Moreover, they can dedicate their time to education, reading, writing, and developing new skills. This fog water collection project has won numerous awards, leading to its expansion to other communities. I feel excited to learn that such an advanced tecnology can empower women and girls. This article is truly inspiring and quite fitting for International Women's Day!
