DARK FUNERALはスウェーデンのブラックメタルバンドで、私は2018年の来日公演を観てドハマりしました(完全にNAGLFAR目当てで行ったのに、DARK FUNERALの出音が良すぎてノックアウトされた)。

"Unchain My Soul"が収録されている、"Where Shadows Forever Reign"(2016)はアルバムとしての完成度が非常に高く、憂いを帯びたトレモロリフをどこか温かみのあるサウンドで聴かせる名盤です。

「ブラックメタル初心者に勧める真性ブラックメタル・アルバムを1枚挙げろ」と言われたらこの作品を選ぶかもしれません。
派生ジャンル(ブラックゲイズとかシンフォブラックとか)で聴きやすいものは沢山あるけど、オーソドックスなブラックメタルの中ではこれがトップクラスに聴きやすいし何よりカッコいいと思います。
