年末の大掃除での出来事

それは、今年最後の治療院での出来事でした。20台もある電動治療用ベッドを持ち上げて敷マットを取り換えている途中に起きました。電動のベッドは一台１００㎏ぐらいあるので、そう簡単には持ち上げられないのです。そして突然、私は魔女の一撃を食らったのです。腰に激痛が走り、急性腰痛症を発症しました。痛みに悶絶していたところ、同僚が鍼と灸の治療をしてくださり、なんとか生還しました。魔女の一撃を迎え撃つには、やはり鍼の一撃ですね。おかげで私が午後の施術を引き続き行うことができたのは、不幸中の幸いでした。

大掃除は暖かい時期に

筋力を使うような大掃除は、暖かい時期にやるのが一番ですね。年末で疲労が蓄積している中、寒くて縮こまった体に無理な負担をかけてしまうと、ロクなことが起きないと改めて実感しました。
そもそも大掃除は窓を全開にして空気を入れ替えてやる方が、清潔な上に、気持ちが良いものです。ということで、わが家の大掃除は春の暖かくなることにやることに決めました。特に今年は年末年始にやらなければならない特別な理由がないので、大掃除は3月の年度末でも大丈夫です。
ひと昔前までは、年始は大家族が集合するために、年末に家を掃除していました。もし新年の集まりなどの特別な理由がなければ、掃除は各自都合の良い時にやれば良いと思います。私は、来る年度末に断捨離と一緒に大掃除をしようと思います。その方が、新年度に向けてスッキリサッパリ良いスタートが切れそうです。大掃除の時期をずらすことは、一石二鳥なのかもしれません。

養生の大切さ

来る年末年始は、しっかり養生し、魔女の一撃の再来を未然に防げる状態でありたいと願います。カラダは一生モノですので、きちんと大事に扱わないと、魔女も怒りますね。せっかくの命ですから、大切に扱いましょう。不養生の生活に対して、魔女も怒ってくれるレベルなら、まだ大丈夫です。これからは魔女に見放されないように、十分休養をとるので、魔女にはただただ遠くから見守ってもらいたいです。

An incident during the year-end clean-up

It happened at the last clinic day of the year, when we were lifting 20 electric treatment beds and replacing the mats. Each electric bed weighs about 100 kg, so it is not so easy to lift them. Suddenly, I was struck by a witch's blow. I felt intense pain in my lower back and developed acute back pain. While I was in agony from the pain, a colleague treated me with acupuncture and moxibustion during my lunch break, and I managed to survive. It is indeed a stroke of acupuncture to intercept a witch's strike. It was a blessing in disguise that I was able to continue with my afternoon treatment.

Cleanup is best done during warmer months

It is best to do the major cleanup that requires muscular strength when the weather is warmer. I realized once again that if you put excessive strain on your cold and shriveled body while fatigue is accumulating at the end of the year, nothing good will happen.
To begin with, it is better to open all the windows and refresh the air for the big cleaning, which is not only cleaner but also more pleasant. So, I decided to do my house cleaning in the spring when the weather gets warmer. There is no particular reason why we have to do it at the end of the year, so we can do it at the end of the fiscal year in March.
A long time ago, we used to clean our house at the end of the year for large family gatherings at the beginning of the year. Unless there is a special reason such as a New Year's gathering, cleaning should be done when it is convenient for each individual. I think I will do a big cleaning along with decluttering at the end of the coming year. That way, I will have a clear and crisp start for the new fiscal year. Maybe staggering the timing of the big cleanup will kill two birds with one stone.

The Importance of Self-Care

During the coming year-end and New Year's holidays, I hope to be in a state where I can take good care of myself and prevent the return of the witch's strike. The body is a lifelong possession, and if we do not take good care of it, the witches will be angry. It is our life, so let's treat it with care. If the witches are still angry at you for your lifestyle, you are still fine. From now on, I will take enough rest so that the witches will not give up on me, and I would like them to just watch over me from afar.
