Object to interpretation

Classical artists expressed invisible aspects from motifs which are familiar to us like landscapes and human beings. The invisible aspects are definitely subsisting around us, they cannot be witnessed configurationally but they can be vaguely felt. Likewise, a thought is also in our mind, but it doesn’t have a concrete figure. That is why philosophers and poets describe and record it with language. What artists are doing is the same attempt as theirs. A concept or idea is difficult to visualize for the artists as philosopher struggle with the words in order to give clear shapes to the thoughts in their minds. We have our own interpretation and imagination and we try to describe it with colour, lines, and structure through materials. However, it is an important issue there is a disparity between what we would like to express and what we can visualize. It is the same gap as the disparity between the invisible and the visible. So art practice is trying to eliminate the disparity between them. In other words, it is how we as artists can translate an invisible concept into a visible object.
