　One day a woman was talking to her parents. She told them that she was frightened because, on her way home, she was stalked by a strange man. The parents looked very worried.　

　The next day, the woman and her parents went to a police station and asked the police to put a patrol at night.
However, a police officer said that they couldn't do it due to a shortage of officers.

　Several weeks later, there was a residence meeting. Safety in the community was brought out as a topic. The citizens decided to put up (carry out, enact *提案や法律を実施する場合) a citizen's patrol to keep the neighborhood safe.

　One month later, the citizen's patrol started. The woman was relieved to see some members of the patrol. Since then, she could feel secure when she went back home at night.

　1. I'd be thinking that I'm glad to be part of the citizen's patrol. It's good to keep the people safe.

　2. Yes. There is an increase in the crime rate on the internet compared to the past. Though more and more people use the internet, not enough attention is put on the possibility of being the victim of a crime on the internet.

*通常、受動態は書き言葉。話し言葉では能動態を使う。受動態はかなり強調の意味。ここは強調してる(^o^)
