時の記念日

今日は日本では時の記念日ですね。

偶然ですが、今日の次女の課題も“時”だったり、長男が幼稚園で葉っぱ時計を作って帰宅したりとなんだか時間を意識する機会が多くありました。

それでは、特に時計をテーマにした絵本をご紹介します。

What's the Time, Mr Wolf?  by Debi Gliori
時間の感覚を学べる絵本です。
イギリスには“What's the Time, Mr Wolf? ”という日本の“だるまさんが転んだ”に類似したゲームのあるので子どもたちにはと聴き慣れたフレーズです。
また、赤ずきんちゃんや、三匹のこぶたのような童話や、マザーグースの童謡がそこら中に隠されているので何度読んでも新しい発見があり楽しめます。

Clocks and More Clocks by  Pat Hutchins
細かい数字の時計の読み方まで学べる絵本です。
各階にある時計のどれが正確な時間を刻んでいるのかを知りたくて家の中を行ったり来たりする主人公を見守りたくなる絵本です。

最後に次女のEnglishの課題です。
教科書がないイギリスの小学校ですがこのように動画や一般の本を使って文章や詩の書き方をいくようです。
