New House Exhibition - 今週のハウス新譜チェック 8.1-8.2

ハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のspinn.teramotoがその年の新譜をチェックしご紹介する世界の新築ハウスの展示場、「Antenna 2020」。毎週土曜日は「いつものアーティスト・いつものレーベルの新譜チェック」、そして日曜日は「いつもと違うジャンルやアーティストを探る」という方針でチェックしています。

The master of the house music lounge "Akihabara Jutaku (Akihabara Housing, Ltd.)", spinn.teramoto, checks out and introduces the new music of the year at "Antenna 2020", an exhibition space for new house music from around the world. Every Saturday, I check out the new releases from my usual artists and labels, and on Sundays, I explore different genres and artists.

ご紹介するのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!

I'm going to show you all the songs that I've actually downloaded and purchased. These songs were chosen in a serious competition. Let's take a look at it right away!

1. Moon Boots - You Won't See Me Cry (Crackazat Extended Mix)

イギリスのブリストル出身で、現在はスウェーデン在住の粋人Crackazatのリミックス案件。このお洒落さ軽やかさ、わくわくしてくる高揚感。ハウスの魅力が詰まった素敵トラックです。最高!

A remix project by Crackazat, a nifty guy from Bristol, England, who now lives in Sweden. This stylishness, lightness and exciting exuberance. It's a great track with all the charm of house music. Great!

2. Cesar Del Rio & Tatsu - Ghosts In The Night (Zetbee Remix)

チェコ第2の都市ブルノからナイス住宅をリリースしてくれるZetbeeが手がけたリミックス案件。彼らしいクリアで風通しのいい眺望があって、聞いてて自然に笑顔になる。これは好きだわ。

This is a remix project by Zetbee, who releases nice houses from Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. It has his typical clear and airy views and naturally makes me smile when I listen to it. I like this one.

3. Sijay - You're Mine

ロンドンのNo Fussからリリースされた、LAのアーティストSijayの「You're Mine」。ヒロシワタナベさんに通じるようなきらめき感のあるハウスで、全くもって大好きなやつでした。

”"You're Mine" by LA artist Sijay, released on London's No Fuss. It's a sparkling house that sounds like Hiroshi Watanabe, and I totally loved it.

4. Mo'Cream - U Can Do It

ここからは新たな出会いを求めて彷徨う日曜日の新築ハウスミュージックチェックです。

From here It starts that new house music check for Sundays as I wander around in search of new people to meet.

93年からDJとしてトラックメーカーとして活動しているイタリアのベテランMo'Creamが、イタリアからアドリア海を挟んで対岸に位置するモンテネグロを拠点にしている新興ハウスレーベル84Bitから新曲をリリース。骨太なビートが格好いい!

Italian veteran Mo'Cream, who has been a DJ and trackmaker since 1993, releases a new track on emerging house label 84Bit, based in Montenegro, across the Adriatic Sea from Italy. The bony beat is cool!

5. Danny Faber - Hampi

ベルリンのハウス系レーベルBAR25を率いるDanny Faberの「Hampi」。これまた骨太なアフロテイストのハウスで最高です。

'Hampi' by Danny Faber, who heads Berlin's house label BAR25. It's another great piece of brawny, Afro-inspired house.

6. Disclosure, Fatoumata Diawara - Douha (Mali Mali)

アフロハウスで思い出したけど、今週はみんなが大好きDisclosureの新譜の話もしないといけないですね。相変わらず洒落てるとしかいえない仕立ての上質さにぐっときます。

Afro House reminds me, but this week I have to talk about everyone's favorite new Disclosure record. I'm still gobsmacked by the quality of tailoring.

7. The Giver, Block & Crown - Your Body (On Fire)

僕がハウスの新譜をチェックする時には、曲名に「body」って入ってる曲は必ず試聴するようにするのが自分ルールです。曲名にbodyって入れられるってことは、ハウスならではの肉感みたいなものが曲の中にあるだろうという予感があるんですよね。この曲も格好良かった。

When I check out a new house record, I always make it a rule to listen to songs with the word "body" in the title. When I check out a song with the word "body" in the title, I have a feeling that the song will have the kind of flesh that only house music can have. This song was cool too.

8. Junior Jack - E Samba (Kevin McKay & The Cube Guys Extended Remix)

ロンドンのKevin MckayとイタリアのThe Cube Guysが、Juniro Jackの名曲「E Samba」をリミックス。夏になるとサンバを聞きたいですよね。ピアノのリフが気持ちいい。

London's Kevin Mckay and Italy's The Cube Guys remix Juniro Jack's classic "E Samba". It's summer and you want to hear samba. The piano riff is a nice touch.

【This Week's 1-pick】Moon Boots - You Won't See Me Cry (Crackazat Extended Mix)

今週の1曲はこの曲に決めました。6曲目に紹介したDisclosureの「Douha (Mali Mali)」と悩んだんですけど、この曲のCrackazatのリミックスワークがとにかく最高でした。さっき試しにちょっとミックスしてみたら、「Douha (Mali Mali)」ともいい感じでつながりました。2曲セットでオススメできます。

I decided on this one for this week, and I was torn between it and "Douha (Mali Mali)" by Disclosure, which I mentioned in track 6, and the Crackazat remix work on this song was just awesome. I tried dj-mixing out a while ago, and this song connected nicely with "Douha (Mali Mali)", and I can recommend it as a two-song set.
