Enjoy English 105 - Dialogue (4) August 2022

第105回目です。今回は、2022年8月にツイッターでツイートした単語や熟語を使って作成した会話文の復習です。

8月分としてこれまで作成した会話文は次のとおりです。

I got a good job with a decent salary.
悪くない給料でいい仕事に就きました。

You said that you swore off drinking
because of doctor's orders.
君は、医者の指示で酒をやめることを誓ったと言った。

I just wanted to speak my mind
to you.
君にはちょっと本音を言いたかった。

Did you get it out of your system?
君は、それで気が済みましたか。

I want to go on a drinking spree
after I become able to drink again.
また酒が飲めるようになったら、パーッと飲んで騒ぎに行きたい。

I can't afford to go out for drinks
these days.
最近は飲みに行く余裕はありません。

I've immersed myself in my new
job to get used to it since I stared it.
新しい仕事を始めてから、慣れるためにその仕事に没頭してきているところです。

She is apt to be late for work
on Mondays. 
彼女は、毎週月曜日に仕事に遅刻する傾向がある。

She caught up in traffic on
the way to the office.
彼女は、オフィスに来る途中で交通渋滞に巻き込まれました。

She is easy-going, but she is
always energetic and works hard.
彼女は、のんきですが、いつも元気で、熱心に働いています。

You are very adept at persuading
people.
君は、人を説得するのが上手い。

彼女は、君を意のままに操っているということですか。

I don't think you can spend
the whole day lazing around
on weekends.
毎週末に一日中ゴロゴロして過ごすことはできないと思う。

My feelings have never been
diminished by time.
僕の気持は、時間が経っても決して衰えてきていない。
