有子曰、其爲人也孝弟、而好犯上者鮮矣。不好犯上、而好作亂者、未之有也。君子務本。本立而道生。
孝弟也者其爲仁之本與。

有子曰(ゆうしいは)く、其(その)の人(ひと)と為(な)りや孝(こう)弟(てい)にして、上(かみ)を犯(おか)すを好(この)む者(もの)は鮮(すく)なし。上(かみ)を犯すを好(この)まずして、乱(らん)を作(な)すを好(この)む者(もの)は、未(いま)だ之(これ)有(あ)らざるなり。君子(くんし)は本(もと)を務(つと)む。本立(もとた)ちて道生(みちしよう)ず。孝(こう)弟(てい)は其(そ)仁(じん)の本為(もとた)るか。

現代語訳 02　
有(ゆう)先生(せんせい)の教え。「父母、兄などの年(ねん)長者(ちょうしゃ)を尊敬(そんけい)する人柄(ひとがら)なら、年長者に反抗(はんこう)する人はあまりいません。年長者に反抗しない人は反乱を起(お)こしません。君子は修養(しゅうよう)に努力します。修養を深めれば、道(みち)を理解することができます。父母、兄などの年長者を尊敬する事が、仁という生き方の根本(こんぽん)なのです」

Teacher You Re teachings, "Respect the elders of parents and brothers if you are a character, who opposes your elders? not much. Those who do not rebel against their elders not cause. A man of virtue (Gentleman) strives for discipline. If you underwrite deep into the discipline,
understand the way of life. Respect the elders of parents and brothers of the Life of Benevolence (Human Love).
It is the root."
