老害「政治の世界では若さが否定される話」

広島から出てきて都知事選でソーシャルメディアを活用し次点で落選した元銀行員が選挙後もネットで物議を醸している。私が同郷だからではない。異郷でも激しく応援しているだろう。
An ex-banker and ex-mayor candidate couldn’t win the election, but a large number of independent voters supported him, which pushed him up to the second position, to our surprise.
He would take advantage of social media with his enthusiastic and supportive volunteers effectively, which attracted many ordinary citizens except elderly or senior people without any knowledge about a smartphone.
Even after the election, he has been criticized for his firm behaviors, but my attention has been paid to his personality, character, ambition and so on.
It is not because he is from the same hometown but because he could eliminate senior harmful politicians from the political field forever, we agree.

選挙前は第一野党が支援する女性議員が、現職と一騎打ちになるだろうと言われていた。だが途中からソーシャルメディアを駆使する戦法が功を奏して、元銀行員が激しく追いかけた。
Before the election, the rumor was that an ex-Diet female member whom the first opposition party supported would be on the first or second position although she couldn’t win the current governor.
In the middle of the election campaign, an ex-banker or ex-mayor candidate chased after the current governor speedily and dramatically because his effective way of using social media made a difference, however.

結果が２位では満足できないはずの女性候補は２位にもなれなかったことで厳しく揶揄された。14年前の有名な発言を覚えている市民は多い。一番じゃなきゃ駄目ですか？って言葉だ。
The female candidate, who couldn’t be satisfied with the second position, finally turned out to be on the third position against her will, which was teased on social media because she couldn’t also win the ex-banker or ex-mayor candidate.
Many ordinary citizens remember the famous utterance of hers that we don’t have to win the first prize.

あの頃の彼女は42歳だった。元銀行員と同じ年齢だ。そして堂々とした態度は老害議員から最も嫌われそうなタイプだ。実際に彼は「典型的なパワハラ上司」だとして中傷されている。
