【映画館遠征記】プラネティストinシネマ尾道

７月２４日は破壊の日である。

豊田利晃監督最新作「破壊の日」はコロナ禍のなかこの日に公開することに意味があると、製作された映画である。私は未見である。
その前に。
豊田監督が２０１４年から住民票を移してまで惚れ込んだ小笠原諸島で撮影されたドキュメンタリー映画「プラネティスト」を観に、広島県尾道市にあるシネマ尾道に遠征した記録である。

移動手段は自家用車なので、前日にパーキングを探す。
すると、尾道はパーキングの数が少なく、料金も高めであると判明した。なるほど、危ないところだったということでアキッパという駐車場予約サイトで検索したところ、向かいの島であるからこその向島に良いパーキングを発見し、即予約。コレで安心と就寝した。
さて、当日。いつも通りに起床して、午後0時15分。小雨まじりのなか今治経由でしまなみ海道を渡り、1時間40分ほどで向島に到着。向島からは渡し舟、と言っても小さめのフェリーで渡ることになる。コレも前日調べたところ、いくつかの乗場がありいくつかの会社が運行しているのだとか。その中でも割安な福本渡船を目指す。パラパラと雨。初めて歩く土地で方向感覚がぐちゃぐちゃになりながらもなんとか遠くにソレっぽい乗場を発見。その手前に手書きの看板があり、料金がどうとかいろいろ書いてある。よくわからんがアレだろうと、乗り場に向かうと料金100円とある。
アレ？福本渡船は60円のはず。違うわここ。というわけで調べると、さらに先にあるらしい。よし、行こう。とぼとぼ歩いていると、100円のフェリーがやってきた。ふんふん。あんまり人は乗ってないな。そして、福本渡船を発見。フェリーがちょうど停車している。乗り場に到着すると、鎖が。受付のおじさんに聞くまでもなく、看板に『日曜：運休』の文字が飛び込んできた。あちゃ！！
おじさんに改めて聞くと、「日曜日は2年前から休みだよ」とのこと！
マジか！上映間近！
その瞬間、小雨だった雨がドッと降り出し、土砂降りに。踏んだり蹴ったり。靴と足下を雨に濡らしながら、元きた道を引き返す。そして、手書きの看板をもう一度見ると、『日曜：運休』の文字が！ちゃんと見てない！俺のばか！！
向島運航で尾道へ。運河のようなところから少し開けた海峡を渡ること５分くらいで無事に尾道着。全然間に合う。
新しく整備された駅前の感じに違和感を覚えつつ、シネマ尾道着。

今まで何度も尾道を訪れていたけれど、シネマ尾道はここか、と目の前まで来ていたけれど、中に入るのは初めてである。あ、劇場は2階なんだ。階段を上がり、中に入ると、おお、広い。縦に広い感じ。スクリーンと客席に余裕があるので前のほうに陣取る。ちょっとスクリーンが高い位置にあるね。縦に広いからね、劇場が。２時間堪能。音がもう少し大きいのが私は好きだな。小さいとは思わないけれど。好みの話です。
映画「プラネティスト」、四国では今のところ上映情報がないので、近場の尾道でやってもらえて嬉しい。交通費はかかるけど、行ったことない映画館に入るのはワクワクして楽しい。

劇場を出ると、外は快晴だった。これはいい。
帰りはシネマ尾道すぐのお菓子屋さんで「尾道プリン」をお土産に。しまなみ海道をひた走って、帰路でした。

I went to Onomichi by Mukaishima.It takes about 5 minutes to cross the strait which was opened a little bit from a canal to get to your tail.It's all in time.
Cinema tailwear felt uncomfortable in front of the newly maintained station.

I've been to Onomichi many times before, but I've never been here before.Oh, the theater is on the second floor.When I go up the stairs, I can see it's big, it feels like it's long and wide.There is room for the screen and seats, so we take the position forward.The screen is a bit high.It's a long, long.I'm good at it for two hours. I like the sound a little louder.I don't think it's small.It's my favorite.
The movie "Planetist" is happy to be able to do it in Onomichi near Shikoku since there is no information on the screening at this time.It costs a lot of money to travel, but it's exciting and fun to go to a movie theater that I've never been to.

When I left the theater, it was sunny outside.This is good.
On my way home, I got a "Onomichi pudding" as a souvenir at a candy store right after Odo, and I ran along the Shimanami kaido and was on my way home.
