槍使い五名将

Five Great generals of Spear.

○僕の愛読書で紹介されている、「槍使い五名将」を紹介します。

I'm going to introduce the "Five Great generals of Spear" that was introduced in my favorite book.

○本多忠勝。柄の長さ6メートル、刃の長さ40センチメートルを超える愛用の大槍は、とまったトンボが切れたといわれ、「蜻蛉切」と名付けられた。

Tadakatsu Honda .His favorite spear, with a handle length of more than 6 meters and a blade length of more than 40 cm, was named "Dragonfly Cut", which is said to have cut dragonfly in half.

○前田利家。大きな体格で武勇に優れた。義理人情に厚く、生涯織田家と豊臣家を支えた。槍の名手として、「槍の又左」と呼ばれた。

Toshiie Maeda. He was outstanding warlord with great physique. He was very generous and supported the Oda and Toyotomi families throughout his life. As a spear master, he was called "Mataza of Spear".

○福島正則。子供のころから豊臣秀吉に仕え、賤ケ岳の戦い、小牧・長久手の戦い、四国攻め、九州攻めなど、さまざまな戦いで手柄を立てた。その後、石田三成と対立。関ヶ原の戦いでは徳川家康につき、東軍を勝利に導いた。彼は敵に背を向けたことがない、という。

Masanori Fukushima. He served Hideyoshi Toyotomi since his childhood and earned himself in various battles, including battles for Shizugatake, Komaki and Nagakute, Shikoku and Kyushu. After that, conflict with Mitsunari Ishida. In the battle of Sekigahara, Ieyasu  Tokugawa led the Eastern Army to victory. He seems to have never turned his back to ememy.

〇加藤清正。清正の得意武器は「十文字槍」。朝鮮出兵のときは、向かってきた虎を倒したらしい。「賤ケ岳七本槍」の一人。

Kiyomasa Kato . Kiyomasa's specialty weapon is the "Cross spear." He seems that he defeated the tiger when he dispatched to Korea. One people of the "Seven major spear of Shizugatake .

〇可児才蔵。はじめ美濃（現在の岐阜県）の斎藤家に仕え、その後、前田利家など、さまざまな主に仕えた。関ヶ原の戦いでは東軍の福島正則に従って大活躍した。倒した敵将の首に、自分の目印として笹をくわえさせたことから、「笹の才蔵」と呼ばれた。

Saizou kani. At first he served the Saito family in Mino (now Gifu Prefecture), and later served a variety of lords, including Toshiie Maeda. He played an active part in the battle of Sekigahara in accordance with the Eastern Army's Masanori Fukushima. He was called "Sasano Saizou" ,because he put a bamboo grass on neck of defeated enemy as a landmark.
