口をゆすぐことはできるけど、鼻を浄化する習慣、まだまだあまりメジャーではないかもしれません…!
しかし鼻は脳の関門とされており、風邪の予防や生産性の高いパフォーマンスへのサポート、花粉症ケアや対策、予防、改善など・・・その効果は計り知れません。
鼻うがいをすることで得られるその効能と実際の体感を持って、是非"当たり前の習慣"として皆様に取り入れていただきたい、アーユルヴェーダ的浄化法を紹介します。

鼻うがい👃とは
体温ほどに温めた塩水を片方の鼻の穴からもう片方の穴へ通し、鼻を浄化する方法のこと。
実際は口うがいのようにガラガラとすることはなく、重力のままに鼻から鼻へ用具(ネティポット)を使って水を流します。

ネティポットと使い方
サンスクリット語で「ネティ」とは鼻の意。
鼻うがいに使う用語をネティポットと言います。
▼使用方法
①ぬるま湯約200mlに小さじ1/3~1/2の塩を溶かす。
(まずは熱湯で塩を溶かし、大体40℃くらいになるように水を追加する。
全体で200mlほどになるようにする。)
②片方の鼻に先端部分(ノズル)をフィットさせ、顔を横に傾ける。
(この際洗面台に対して平行以内に傾ける。頭頂が鼻よりも下にならない程度)
③半分ほど行ったら反対の鼻に変えて②と同様を行う。

・必ず両鼻からかむようにする。
※耳を痛めないようにするため。
・塩は多くても少なくても、水は冷たくても熱くても痛みが生じる場合があります。ご自身のより良い塩梅を見つけてみてください！
朝の10時までに行うことをおすすめしていますが、花粉症や風邪気味の時は午後や就寝前もスッキリしておすすめです。
種類

インド製のネティポットで、最も浄化力があるとされています。
ふにゃふにゃしていないため、安定して鼻うがいを行えます。

ダイヤモンドソルトのすすめ
鼻うがいの水を食塩水にするために必要なのがお塩です。
海塩、岩塩、どちらでも構いませんが、現在MOTHERで販売中のお塩は
鼻うがいをしても黒ずみや匂いなど支障の出ないパウダー状のダイヤモンドソルトです！
鼻うがい後のケア方法
鼻うがい後は鼻の粘膜がとても乾燥します。
化粧水後は保湿することと同じように、鼻の内部もオイルを点鼻して保湿してあげましょう！
使うオイルは「セサミオイル」
スポイトで両鼻へ一滴ずつ点鼻してください。
※スポイトタイプは30gのみです。

What is nose gargle?
It’s a method to purify your nose that pass salt water which warm to body temperature from one nostril to another.
The water is actually just passed from nostril to nostril with gravity by using a special tool(Neti Pot).

・What is Neti Pot? And How to use it?
“Neti” means nose in Sanskrit.
Special tool for Narsal gargle is called Neti Pot.
▼How to use it？
(1) Dissolve 1/3~1/2 teaspoon of salt in about 200 ml of lukewarm water.
(First dissolve the salt in boiling water, then add water to bring the temperature to roughly 40°C. The total volume should be about 200 ml.)
(2) Fit the tip (nozzle) to one of the noses and tilt the face sideways.
(At this time, tilt your face within parallel to the washbasin. The top of your head should not be lower than your nose.)
(3) When you have done about half, change to the another nose and do the same as in (2).

Always blow through both nostrils.
*To avoid ear pain.
More or less salt, cold or hot water may cause pain. Please try to find your own just right amount/temperature!
We recommend doing this before 10:00 a.m., but if you have hay fever or a cold, we also recommend doing it in the afternoon or before bedtime to refresh you.
Types
There are a total of three types of Neti pots available at MOTHER.
The usage is the same for all of them, but we would be glad if you could pick one up according to your use and preference.

＜Copper Neti Pot＞
Speaking of nasal gargling, this is the most representative type of Neti Pot!
This Indian-made neti pot is said to have the most purifying power.
It is not squishy, so you can gargle your nose with stability.

Recommendation of Diamond Salt

How to care for your nose after gargling
After gargling, the mucous membrane of the nose becomes very dry.
In the same way as moisturizing after applying lotion, we also recommend to moisturize the inside of your nose by applying oil to your nose!
We use oil named "sesame oil”.
Use a dropper to apply one drop to each nostril.
The dropper type is only available in 30g.
