ひたち海浜公園がかつて米軍の射爆撃場だった事はよく知られている。しかし実際に行われていたのは訓練ではなく、1匹の怪獣を倒すための作戦行動だった。光線も火も吐けず、身を守る武器を持たない怪獣は地下に隠れ難を逃れた。

数十年後、射爆撃場は日本に返還され、跡地に作られたひたち海浜公園はやがて、毎年ロックフェスが開かれるひたちなかの音楽の聖地となった。
ある年のロックフェスがクライマックスに差し掛かった頃、音楽に誘われるように海浜公園の地底から怪獣が出現、もぎ取った楽器店の看板をギター代わりに、ノリノリで歌い始めた。フェスの演出と勘違いしたミュージシャンも観客も大いに盛り上がり、かつてないほどの熱狂に包まれる会場。大盛況のうちにその年のフェスは幕を閉じたのだった。人々はその怪獣を、ロックの街ひたちなかの王＝ロッキングと呼んだ。

It is well known that Hitachi Seaside Park was once a U.S. military bombardment site. However, what was actually being done was not training, but the operation to defeat one monster. Unable to emit rays or fire, the monster, who did not have a weapon to protect himself, escaped the difficulty of hiding underground.

Decades later, the bombardment site was returned to Japan, and Hitachi Seaside Park, built on the site, eventually became a sacred place for hitachinaka music, where rock festivals were held every year.
When the rock festival of a certain year was about to reach its climax, a monster appeared from the ground of the seaside park to be invited by music, and began to sing the signboard of the musical instrument store which had been stripped off with the guitar instead of the guitar. The venue is filled with unprecedented enthusiasm, with musicians and spectators who have mistaken it for the production of the festival. The festival of the year ended with great success. People called the monster the king of the city of rock = rocking.
